An analyzer system has an instrument holder that can hold at least two instruments and is movable along a vertical guide. At least one washing device is provided for the instruments, with one or more jet orifices fed by a supply conduit to spray wash fluid at the instruments. The washing device comprises one or more wash rings surrounding the instruments. The washing device is separate from and movable in relation to the instrument holder, and the one or more jet orifices are aimed at the instruments positioned inside the one or more wash rings.

A device for charging a measuring apparatus for thermal analysis with material specimens filled into containers includes a vertically displaceable gripping member and a rotatable specimen plate with a plurality of openings arranged in a circle. For transferring a specimen container to the measuring location in the measuring apparatus, the specimen container is moved underneath the gripping member by rotating the specimen plate, the gripping member is lowered and the specimen container is gripped by gripping fingers attached to the gripping member. The container is then raised from the specimen plate by raising the gripping member. Subsequently, the specimen plate is rotated until a recess in the specimen plate is located underneath the gripping member. The measuring location is also located directly underneath the gripping member. By lowering the gripping member through the recess in the specimen plate, the specimen container can now be placed on the measuring location and can be released for carrying out the measurement by spreading apart the gripping fingers.

Buret apparatus of the type including a buret conduit terminating at one end in a siphon, characterized in that the siphon includes a siphon passage formed on a stopper that is removably mounted in the buret conduit. The improved siphon structure is relatively inexpensive to manufacture, and is less susceptible to breakage than the conventional circular glass siphon devices. The improved apparatus is particularly suitable for use as a precision titrator or dosing device where measurements in the microliter range are required.

In known apparatus with exchangeable burettes, a supply cylinder and its associated storage container were arranged on a palette. When the titrating medium was to be changed, the palette had to be removed from the operating unit and replaced by another palette carrying the storage container and associated cylinder with the changed medium. Handling is facilitated and changing of the titrating medium is accelerated with the arrangement of the invention wherein each cylinder has its associated storage container and the cylinder can be stored on the container. On use, a selected cylinder is directly mounted on the operating unit.

Apparatus with exchangeable burettes

Operating stations of an automatic analysis apparatus are arranged along a path in which a specimen to be analyzed is moved in a container on a carrier. The specimen is transferred from the carrier to a container supporting platform of each station where it is to be processed, thereby permitting another specimen to by-pass the same station. Different sequences of operations may be performed simultaneously on several specimens without interfering with each other.
