An exemplary compounding system and method can include a transfer set that includes a manifold for assisting in transferring a plurality of ingredients from supply container(s) to a final container. The manifold can include a first channel in fluid communication with at least one primary ingredient, and a second channel in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary ingredients. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold. The transfer set can include a plurality of inlet lines in fluid communication with the manifold and two outlet lines configured for connection to two separate pumps and eventually being in fluid communication with the final container.

Compounding device, system, kit, software, and method

An exemplary compounding system and method can include two pump heads for simultaneously drawing two different fluids from at least two separate input containers such that the at least two different fluids are mixed and distributed to an output container. The system can include a manifold that maintains separation of certain of the different fluids until after passing by a first pump and a second pump and/or additional pumps. A junction can be placed in the fluid line downstream of the first and second pumps and/or additional pumps such that all or some of the fluids are mixed prior to output to the output container. The method of using the system can include incorporating software that selects various fluids at certain times and sequences to ensure optimum efficiency and safety for the system, and can continue compounding actions even when an input supply container runs out or otherwise fails to supply a particular fluid/material. The method of use also includes connection of a transfer set to a housing in a manner that further ensures optimum efficiency and safety.

An exemplary pharmaceutical compounding system and device for mixing materials from at least two distinct material sources can include a valve including a valve housing and a valve structure located within the valve housing. The valve structure can be configured to permit fluid to flow through the valve when in an open position, and can include a gravity wall wherein, when the valve structure is in the open position, fluid moving through the valve structure moves upward against a force of gravity when travelling through the valve and traversing the gravity wall.

An exemplary manifold for a pharmaceutical ingredient compounding device can include a housing, at least one primary intake port including a primary valve to permit or block passage of at least one primary ingredient through the manifold, and a plurality of secondary intake ports. A first channel can be in fluid communication with the at least one primary valve and include an outlet port configured to outlet the at least one primary ingredient from the manifold. A second channel can be in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary valves and include an outlet port configured to outlet at least one of a plurality of secondary ingredients from the manifold. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold.

Valve for compounding device

An office accessory mounting and display system is disclosed, comprising plural mounting brackets adaptable for securement to various modular office furniture systems, and an elongated, unitarily formed accessory mounting rail for securement to the mounting brackets. Tabs are provided on the mounting brackets to receive complimentary flanges provided on the rear elongated surface of the mounting rail. The rail includes elongated, upward and downward-facing hooks on which plural office accessories or supplies may be attached and displayed or viewed. The rail further includes a downwardly-facing, inverted-'U'-shaped channel which receives plural rod segments for retaining flat sheet material. When the sheet material is pressed into the U-shaped channel, the rod segments are displaced upward; when the sheet material is released, gravitational force pushes the rods down against the interior of the channel, thereby retaining the sheet material in place by frictional force. The sheet material may be removed by pulling downward on the material with force sufficient to overcome the frictional hold between the rod segments, the sheet material, and the interior of the channel.
