A wastewater treatment apparatus for remediation of a wastewater treatment system has a septic tank with a lower sludge layer and an upper liquid effluent layer. The apparatus is comprised of a brush that includes a brush arm having a first end, a second end, and bristles disposed on the brush arm between the first end and the second end. The brush is configured to be positioned within the liquid effluent layer in the septic tank in a vertical orientation such that the second end is disposed below the first end.

Septic system remediation

A self-uprighting aeration device that minimizes turbulence and disruption of any sediment layer in a tank. The device includes a float positioned about a first position on a longitudinal axis of the aeration device, a ballast positioned about a second position on the longitudinal axis, and a diffuser. The float and the ballast are configured to orient the aeration device in a liquid with the longitudinal axis substantially aligned with a gravitational vector to dispose the diffuser above the sediment layer. The aeration device can be configured to rest on a support surface in the tank or float above such a support surface. Methods for aerating liquid in tanks with the aeration device are also provided.

A method and apparatus for remediating a failing wastewater treatment system comprising a positive air, oxygen, ozone, or combination thereof, generating pressure pump () directing the air, oxygen, ozone or combination through a tube () to an air stone () suspended in the effluent. Attached growth bacteria grow on a plurality or random directional brushes () in an effluent tank, e.g., septic tank ().

Septic system remediation method and apparatus

A portable wastewater treatment system comprising a wastewater holding tank having an interior adapted to hold wastewater, and a generator positioned to provide ozone, oxygen, or a combination of the two to the interior of the holding tank. In one embodiment, the holding tank comprises a gray-water tank, and the system further comprises a non-potable water tank having an interior. In this embodiment, the system further includes a second generator positioned to provide ozone, oxygen, or a combination of the two to the interior of the non-potable water tank and a conduit coupling the gray-water tank to the non-potable water tank. The system can further include a black-water tank having an interior, a third generator positioned to provide ozone, oxygen, or a combination of the two to the interior of the black-water tank, and a conduit coupling the black-water tank to the non-potable water tank. The system can further include a toilet having an inlet and an outlet, a first conduit coupling the non-potable water tank to the inlet of the toilet, and a second conduit coupling the outlet to the black-water tank. The system can also include a potable water tank, a point of water usage coupled to the potable water tank, and a fourth generator positioned to provide ozone, oxygen, or a combination of the two to the potable water tank.

Portable tank wastewater treatment system and method

A method and apparatus for remediating a failing wastewater treatment system comprising (a) a positive oxygen and ozone-generating, or ozone-generating only, pressure pump having an output, (b) a tube having a first end and a second end, the first end being attachable to the pump output, and (c) an air stone attachable to the second tube end. The pump is used to deliver oxygen and ozone, or ozone only, through the tube to the air stone. As much tube as is required is used to allow the air stone to be introduced into almost any portion of the wastewater treatment system so as to introduce air into the effluent and allow aerobic bacteria to proliferate. The apparatus of the present invention could also include a plurality of such pumps, tubes and air stones, and in many combinations.

Wastewater treatment system

An apparatus and a method for the remediation of failing wastewater treatment systems, such systems being comprised of one or more septic tanks and a seepage pit, drywell, absorption field or an above grade mound system having an inlet and a plurality of outlets wherein effluent drains from the inlet to the outlet, comprises a positive pressure pump having an output, a tube having a first end and a second end, the first end being attachable to the pump output, and an air stone attachable to the second tube end. The pump is used to deliver air through the tube to the air stone. As much tube as is required is used to allow the air stone to be introduced into almost any portion of the wastewater treatment system so as to introduce air into the effluent to allow aerobic bacteria to proliferate. The apparatus could also include a plurality of such pumps, tubes and air stones, and in many combinations. The method comprises introducing oxygen to the bio-mat, introducing live aerobic bacteria to the bio-mat, monitoring the level of effluent in the absorption field or dry well, and stopping the introduction of air to the effluent when the bio-mat is sufficiently reduced or made permeable. The method could also introduce live anaerobic bacteria to the treated area after remediation equipment is removed.

A rotary indexing switch includes a base having a series of radially spaced stationary contact areas, and a rotary contact member having a rotary contact area. The stationary contact areas are defined by contact members engaged within passages in an insulating ring in a configuration dictated by specifications of the switch. The switch has a number of unique features, including mating engagement structure that drivingly engages actuator shafts of stacked switch assemblies; a spring for biasing the rotary contact member toward the stationary contact areas; a combination lift and detent arrangement for lifting the rotary contact areas away from the stationary contact areas and maintaining the rotary contact member in a contact position when the rotary contact areas are engaged with the stationary contact areas; a center contact selectively engageable with the base utilizing a cooperating engagement arrangement; and an integral enclosure wall which forms a dust shield.

Lawn and garden maintenance equipment for collecting and shredding debris and chipping branches is provided with a wheel-supported housing having a handle for guiding the apparatus, the housing having a substantially closed bottom wall below the blades and having a portion thereof providing an air and debris inlet opening, a motor mounted on the housing with a shaft extending into housing and supporting a disc for rotation with the shaft within said housing, the disc having a cutter on its top for slicing limbs and a slot adjacent said cutting means to permit sliced material to pass through the disc, downwardly extending blades mounted on the bottom of the disc move air and air entrained debris within the housing to an exit opening in said housing generally opposite the inlet for air and entrained debris, and a top opening in the housing is radially aligned with the cutter to accept limbs and the like to be fed through the opening to be engaged by the cutter.
