A device for handling notes of value comprises a sensor unit for detecting at least one feature of a least one note of value to be dispensed. A control unit distinguishes depending on the feature detected by the sensor unit whether the at least one note of value is a first note of value that is approved for withdrawal or a second note of value that is not approved for withdrawal and activates a switch unit such that the at least one note of value is fed to an intermediate storage when it is a second note of value. The intermediate storage comprises a transport unit which is drivable in a first direction for feeding the second note of value and which is drivable into a second direction such that the second note of value can be conveyed out of the intermediate storage.

A method for feeding notes of value () to a device for handling notes of value includes manually filing a cash cassette () with the notes of value (), and rotating the cash cassette () so that the side that was arranged at the bottom during the filling of the cash cassette (), is arranged at the top. The cash cassette () then is inserted into the device for handling notes of value in this rotated orientation.

Method for feeding notes of value to an automated teller machine

A cash box () has a housing () and a base tray () arranged within the housing. The base tray () delimits a receiving area () for receiving a value note stack (). The base tray () is movable relative to the housing () between a removal position and a retracted position.

A container for receiving currency bills or the like includes a plurality of adjacent compartments (22) and a housing (12) enclosing these with a closure unit (18) which is designed for selectively unblocking a predetermined compartment opening. The compartments are made up of individual compartment receptacles (22) which are arranged to be movable in the housing (12) parallel to the direction in which the compartment opening points and to which a positioning device (136) is assigned, through which respectively one compartment receptacle (22) can be moved between a waiting position, in which it is completely inside the housing (12), and an access position in which it partially protrudes out of the opening which is unblocked by the closure unit and substantially corresponds to the cross section of the compartment receptacle (22).

In a door arrangement (20) for the control panel (14) of an apparatus (12) with a door leaf (26) movable by motor, on the inside of which leaf a sensing arrangement is arranged, the sensing element is formed by a contact strip (40) extending over the total length of the closing edge (30) of the door leaf (26), which strip is movably guided on the inside of the door leaf at an acute angle .alpha. to the plane of the door leaf in such a way that in its first position it at least approximately touches or intersects the plane of the outer face (26) of the door leaf. The contact strip (40) is guided in a guide strip (32) which extends over the total length of the closing edge (30) and is fastened to the door leaf (26), which guide strip shows a guide groove (38) for receiving the contact strip (40).
