A holding part is provided for connecting two pipes running parallel to each other, such as the two parallel measuring pipes of a Coriolis mass flowmeter, at a defined spacing. The holding part includes a first holding ring with a first holding opening for a first pipe, a second holding ring with a second holding opening for a second pipe, and a holding web firmly connecting the two holding rings and defining the spacing between the two holding rings. The holding part also includes a first slot running radially and having a first slot width in the first holding ring, a second slot running radially and having a second slot width in the second holding ring, and a slot width changing device, by actuation of which the first and the second slot width and therefore the diameter of the first and second holding opening can be changed simultaneously.

A flow measurement device and a method of manufacturing a flow measurement device having a measurement tube made from plastic or at least a plastic liner are provided. According to an exemplary embodiment, the measurement tube can be fabricated from plastic in an injection molding apparatus. Thereafter, electrical components of the measurement tube, such as electrodes and a coil holder, for example, can be concomitantly injection molded in a common, separate injection molding process. The electrical components can there be installed easier and more reliably in position.

Method of manufacturing a flow measurement device

Disclosed is a method for diagnosing technical devices, especially pumps and valves, which are arranged within an installation used in the processing industry. According to said method, disturbance variables that affect the devices and influence the service life thereof are detected by means of sensory technology while the data of said disturbance variables is processed in a simulative manner in order to determine the expected service life of each device. Various maintenance instructions which are output along with the expected remaining trouble-free operating time of the industrial installation when a lower service life threshold value of one or several devices has been reached are stored in an expert unit.

Method and device for the diagnosis of technical devices disposed within an industrial installation

The invention relates to a method for operating a measuring device, especially a flowmeter. The aim of the invention is to simplify inspection if the sensors have been correctly installed. For this purpose, the installation state is detected by the sensors themselves, i.e. by sensing a corresponding sensor value and comparing it with characteristic data. The result of comparison is electronically evaluated and automatically estimated whether the characteristic data obtained match the comparative data within at least a defined tolerance.

Method of testing the installation of a measuring device

A vortex flowmeter is disclosed, which includes, among other features, a closed measuring tube, through which a flowable medium that is to be quantitatively measured flows, the medium flowing against a disturbing element that is arranged in the measuring tube. A vibration sensor is arranged downstream in the direction of flow detecting the vortex frequency generated by the disturbing element. An electronic evaluation unit is disposed downstream of the vibration sensor converting it into an electric signal corresponding to the quantitative flow rate or volumetric flow rate. The relative position can be changed between the measuring tube and the disturbing element and/or the measuring tube and the vibration sensor in a signal-optimizing manner.

A magnetic-inductive flow meter with a measuring tube () made of metal, which is flowed through by a medium () which has a minimum electrical conductivity and is permeated by a magnetic field generated by means of an arrangement of magnets (), in the region of which field at least two measuring electrodes () arranged diametrically on the measuring tube () are provided for sensing the inductively generated measuring voltage, the metal measuring tube () being provided with an electrically insulating inner layer () and an electrically conductive grounding disk () being arranged at the end face for grounding the medium flowing through the measuring tube (), which disk is connected to ground via the measuring tube, the grounding disk (') consisting of an electrically conductive plastic which comes to lie in sealing contact directly against the end face () of the measuring tube () in order to be connected to ground by the direct contact.
