A device for handling weaving accessories, which is provided as a mobile unit, is disclosed herein. The device comprises a holding device for holding a reed, a holding device for holding healds, a holding device for holding drop wires and a holding device for holding a thread sheet. The holding device for holding the reed is provided for picking up a reed disposed movably at the holding device.

A device and a method for handling weaving accessories is described herein. A first holding element is provided for being moved cyclically between a supply device and a receiving device. The first holding element is disposed at a carrier means. A push-off element for pushing a weaving accessory off the holding element and onto a component of the receiving device is also disposed at the carrier means. The first holding element is preferably provided for performing its cyclic movement in a plane with an axis running at right angles thereto.

The first holding element and the at least one further holding element are provided for being moved cyclically between a supply device and a receiving device. At least the first holding element is configured to complete at least part of its movement between the supply device and the receiving device while the at least one further holding element remains stationary.

A device and a method for handling weaving accessories are described herein. The device comprises at least one holding element for a weaving accessory. The at least one holding element comprises a contact surface for a weaving accessory. The greater extension of the contact surface defines the longitudinal direction of the holding element and the lesser extension of the contact surface defines the lateral direction of the holding element. The at least one holding element is arranged pivotably around a first axis, which extends at a right angle to the holding element's longitudinal direction. A weaving accessory at the holding element's contact surface can thus be moved from a pick-up position to a drawing-in position by pivoting the holding element around the first axis.

A method and a device for the automated transport of weaving accessories is disclosed. A device is provided which has at least one rail and at least one rail carrier. The at least one rail carrier carries the weight of the at least one rail, on which weaving accessories can be movably disposed in the longitudinal direction of the rail. The method is characterized in that the at least one rail carrier is displaced relative to the at least one rail, in the longitudinal direction thereof, in order to move weaving accessories disposed at the rail along the rail in the longitudinal direction thereof.

A shaft connecting device () having a thrust rod () and a lateral support () that fit into each other with minimal transverse play. In addition, the shaft connecting device () has a clamping device () with a stop arrangement () and a fixation arrangement ('), the latter connecting the lateral support () and the thrust rod () exclusively on their respective upper ends to each other. Any opening, closing and adjusting of the connections between the thrust rod () and the lateral support () is possible in a particularly simple and convenient manner. The lateral support () and the thrust rod () support each other, thus resulting in a high dynamic load-bearing capacity. The overall design is simple, clear and cost-effective.

A shaft rod () having a heald mounting rail () glued to the rod body () using a space-filling adhesive () provided in an accommodation space () on the mounting rail () or the rod body () and having a greater volume than a holding section () formed on the rod body () or the mounting rail (). Preferably, the holding section () and the accommodation space () are configured such that the two parts can only be inserted into each other with a pivoting movement. To achieve this, the holding section () preferably has a part () extending transverse to the mouth () of the accommodation space (), and being wider than the mouth (), thus extending behind a wall section or part () of the accommodation space (). Preferably, the accommodation space () and the holding section () are configured as hook profiles that engage each other.

In the heald shaft () according to the invention, a coupling device () is provided which serves for connecting the end binder () with the shaft rod () and which has a spring-biased clamping member () for frictionally holding a coupling element () in the shaft rod (). When required, the clamping member () may be moved into its releasing position against the force of the spring element () for releasing the coupling element (), so that the latter may be pulled out of the shaft rod () alone, or possibly together with other components of the coupling device (). Operating such a coupling device is particularly simple and requires neither particular skill nor particular attention. The coupling device () is adapted for shaft rods of lightweight construction.

A heald shaft () for coupling the shaft rods () with the end binders (), having connecting joints or hinges () whose pivot axes () lie externally of the shaft rods () and preferably inside the end binders (). Due to the connecting joints (), a moment-free coupling between the shaft rods () and the end binders () is ensured. The relative pivotal motions between the shaft rods () and the end binders () appearing during operation do not generate any moment transmissions between the shaft rods () and the end binders (). Preferably, the driving couplers () are arranged above the end binders () in a direct extension thereof.

A novel corner connector for heddle shafts has detent means with which it can be retained in a shaft rod. The load-related locking is effected independently of the detent means by a clamping device that acts between the struts of the shaft rod.

The heddle shaft rod () described originates in an extruded aluminum profile section with relatively thick side walls, which are removed in some regions and thereby made thinner. This can be done without substantial impairment to the rigidity of the heddle shaft rod, yet as a result a substantial reduction in weight is attained. The removal of material can be adapted to the local load conditions. For instance, it is possible at the ends or other force introduction points to leave unweakened thick walls, while the other regions of the side walls are milled off far enough that a uniform thinner wall thickness is attained. It is furthermore possible to vary the amount of material removed, either in multiple steps or in infinitely graduated fashion. The material removal pertains to a reduction in the wall thickness that is measured transversely to the movement direction of the heddle shaft rod. In addition, the profile section height of the heddle shaft rod can be varied, for instance by suitable milling off of the solid profile section region toward the ends, and this height is measured in the movement direction H.

An end binder () for a heald shaft () is formed by a bent sheet metal member () which preferably has a U-shaped cross section and which, according to the preferred embodiment, is of high-grade steel. The open side of the U-section faces the shaft rods (). In the hollow space enclosed by the bent sheet metal member () shaft rod couplers () are secured which are preferably pivotally held. The upper or lower end of the bent sheet metal member forms part of a driving coupler () which is situated preferably in a linear continuation of the bent sheet metal member () and is a one-piece component with the end binder (). Such a structure may be manufactured in a simple manner with very small tolerances, and it has a low weight, a substantial stiffness and highly satisfactory bearing properties for being supported in plastic guides.

A heald (heddle) shaft () comprises at least one shaft rod () on which a damping element ()is supported on the shaft rod carrier body () to be movable in the longitudinal direction of a heald or heddle () mounted on a shaft stave or rail () carried by the body () so as to be moveable toward and away from an abutment surface () of the support body () and an outer end surface () an eyelet of a heald or heddle () mounted on the shaft stave (). By virtue of movably supporting the damping element (), an alignment of the healds or heddles () is improved and facilitated, and a desired damping effect is obtained during the entire motion course of the healds or heddles ().

A shaft rod (), wherein the heddle support rail () is secured in a form-fit to a profile body (), for example in the form of an aluminum extruded profile, by projections () provided on the extrusion profile (), with the projectionsextending into substantially correspondingly shaped recesses () in the heddle support rail.

Shaft rod for weaving machines

A shaft rod for a heddle shaft is formed by a profile body () and an associated additional profile body, which are joined together by a detent means () and additionally by an adhesive bond. The detent means () is embodied such that it already holds the additional profile body () fixed and in the correct position on the profile body () when the adhesive that forms the adhesive seam () is still liquid or viscous, or in any case has not yet thoroughly hardened. This provision makes it substantially easier to manipulate the shaft rod () during manufacture.
