An arrangement for gasification of fuels within the range from fine grain fuel to dust shaped fuels, in a dust cloud with gas comprises a gasification reactor provided with at least two burners, a supply container for accommodating a fuel, a distributor connected to the supply container for receiving the fuel from the supply container, and a plurality of conduits connected with the distributor and supplying the fuel from the latter to the burners, the conduits having a different geometrical parameter including at least one of a length and a direction.

A waste heat boiler for cooling partial oxidation crude gas comprises a pressure container, a crude gas-clean gas heat exchanger in the container, a tubular body formed as a tubular basket and arranged in the pressure container, the crude gas-clean gas heat exchanger being arranged inside the tubular basket, and heating surfaces associated with the crude gas-clean gas heat exchanger.

Waste heat boiler for cooling of partial oxidation crude gas

Fine grained fuel such as coal dust is gasified at an elevated pressure by passing the fuel from a supply tank which is at atmospheric pressure by pump means into a pressurized lock basin and therefrom into the gasifier, the fuel during such movement retaining its loose consistency. This can be accomplished for instance by a solid piston pump which is only partially filled with the fuel. Thus, agglomerations are avoided and the fuel is directly conveyed into the gasifier in flowable and fluidizable form without the necessity of being reconverted into a finely divided form.

Process for gasifying fine grained and dust-like solid fuels

The arrangement includes a source of finely divided solid combustible material fluidized in an inert gas, and also a source of combustion-supporting gas, such as oxygen, air, or oxygen-enriched air. A gasifier is provided for gasifying finely divided solid combustible material by reacting the same with combustion-supporting gas, and the gasifier has one or more inlets. A first conduit connects the source of combustible material to an inlet of the gasifier. A second conduit connects the source of combustion-supporting gas to an inlet of the gasifier. A pressure-regulating unit is automatically operative for maintaining the pressure of fluidized combustible material entering the gasifier higher than the pressure of combustion-supporting gas entering the gasifier and higher than the pressure of gases in the gasifier, to prevent the combustion-supporting gas and also the gases in the gasifier from passing out of the gasifier into the first conduit and becoming mixed with fluidized combustible material before such combustible material can enter the gasifier.

Method and arrangement for gasifying finely divided fluidized solid

A method of discharging residues resulting from gasification of fuel in a chamber filled in a lower portion thereof with water and having a gas cushion at high pressure above the water level, in which the residues accumulating in the chamber are discharged through a sluicing container connected to the lower end of the chamber and conveyor means connected to the sluicing chamber.
