An actuation unit for an electronically controlled hydraulic vehicle braking system, comprising a brake booster which can be actuated by a brake pedal and which comprises a master cylinder and a reservoir for hydraulic fluid, a first brake which is coupled with at least a first vehicle wheel and which is connectable with the master cylinder via an electronically controlled valve arrangement in a basic position or, in an actuation position is disconnectable from same, a brake pedal behaviour simulator which is connectable with the master cylinder and comprises a spring arrangement adapted to act against the hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder, and with which a characteristics modeling is associated.

Actuation unit for an electronically controlled vehicle brake system

The invention relates to an electronically controllable vehicle braking system for a motor vehicle with a cylinder/piston arrangement providing a brake fluid, which, by actuating a brake pedal, is caused to provide brake fluid acting on the brake of the motor vehicle, with the cylinder/piston arrangement being connectable with a pump arrangement and a pressure accumulator. The pressure accumulator has a housing which comprises a fluid connection for a fluid flowing into and out of the housing as well as a spring arrangement against whose force brake fluid flowing through the fluid connection is acting, with at least one part of the spring arrangement being formed by at least one part of the housing wall.

Electronically controllable vehicle braking system for a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a pressure accumulator which comprises a housing for accommodating fluid, a fluid connection for a fluid flowing into and out of the housing, as well as a spring arrangement against whose force a fluid flowing through the fluid connection is acting, characterised in that at least one part of the spring arrangement is formed by at least one part of the wall of the housing.

Pressure accumulator

An electrohydraulic braking system for motor vehicles with a brake master cylinder which can be actuated by a brake pedal. A wheel brake is coupled with at least with one vehicle wheel. The wheel brake can be connected with the brake master cylinder in order to subject the wheel brake to pressurized hydraulic fluid. A hydraulic pump, and a hydraulic pressure accumulator supplied by the pump, form an alternative source of pressurized hydraulic fluid which can be supplied to the wheel brake through a control valve arrangement in a controlled manner in order to subject the wheel brake to pressurized hydraulic fluid. A shut-off valve is arranged between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic pressure accumulator in order to selectively make or shut-off a connection between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic pressure accumulator to permit the hydraulic pump, in certain situations, to rapidly pressurize the braking system without having to simultaneously recharge the hydraulic pressure accumulator.
