An apparatus for determining and/or monitoring a physical and/or chemical, measured variable of a medium, including a housing, especially an elongated housing, and a sensor arranged in the housing. The sensor serves for registering the measured variable, wherein the housing has at least one opening, through which the sensor comes in contact with the medium. The housing has a first housing section, in which the sensor and a sensor electronics are arranged. The sensor electronics is arranged on a first carrier element. The sensor electronics serves for changing the measured variable into an analog electrical signal. An insert is applied in the first housing section, in which the sensor electronics is arranged. The insert is tubular.

Measuring apparatus and method for manufacturing the measuring apparatus

The invention relates to a pressure measuring cell comprising a base body, a membrane that is connected to the base body, thus forming a measuring chamber. During operation, the membrane is subjected to a deflection which is dependent on a pressure that is to be measured. The cell also comprises a membrane bed, formed by a surface of the base body that faces the membrane, at least one electrode being mounted on said bed. Said electrode, together with a counter-electrode that is mounted on the membrane, forms a capacitor, whose capacitance represents a measurement for the deflection of the membrane. The measuring cell is characterized in that the electrode is electrically connected through the base body and that the measuring chamber has a smooth surface in the contact zone, said surface having a contact pin that is guided in a bore through the base body. The electrode is electrically connected by means of said pin for measuring the capacitance and the pin is soldered into the bore on the membrane side, using a solder. The contact pin, the solder and the membrane bed form a smooth surface.

A pressure sensor for measuring a pressure difference between a pressure being measured and the ambient atmospheric pressure surrounding the pressure sensor, including a platform and a membrane loadable with a pressure being measured. The membrane is secured at its edge to the platform, with a pressure chamber thus being formed between the platform and the measuring membrane. The pressure chamber communicates over a reference air path with the atmosphere, with the reference air path being a winding path.

The invention relates to a pressure measuring arrangement comprising a pressure measuring cell which is fed by a pressure corresponding to the pressure which is to be measured by a pressure tube filled by a pressurised liquid; at least one pressure recording unit is arranged separately from said cell, said unit being impinged upon by a pressure which is to be measured during operation, producing a pressure corresponding to the pressure which is to be measured via a pressure line filled by a liquid; a connection between the pressure tube and the pressure line. A modular design and a large amount of flexibility is obtained in respect of the spatial arrangement of the pressure measuring cell and the pressure recording unit. The connection consists of a base body wherein at least one end section of the pressure line is arranged, in addition to a pressure screw through which the pressure tube passes and is secured by a fixing element arranged on a side which is oriented towards the base body of the pressure screw. Said pressure screw has a thread which enables it to be screwed onto base body in such a way that the pressure tube and the pressure line are connected, and the connection is effectively sealed between the pressure tube and the pressure line.

A pressure sensor that is particularly suitable inter alia for the food industry and the measuring accuracy of which is stable over a long time, having a diaphragm seal () with a separating diaphragm () on which a pressure (P) to be measured acts and having a ceramic measuring cell () which is connected to the diaphragm seal () exclusively by inorganic materials, is provided, in which sensor the separating diaphragm () and all further sensor components coming into contact during measurement with a medium of which the pressure (P) is to be measured are metallic.

The acoustic transducer system includes a flexural vibrating plate coupled to an electromechanical transducer and so configured that it is stimulated to higher order flexural vibrations at the system operating frequency, at which nodal lines form on the flexural vibrating plate between which first and second antinodal zones are located oscillating alternatingly opposite in phase. For influencing the sound radiation, in the second antinodal zones oscillating in phase with respect to each other and opposite in phase in relation to the first antinodal zones one mass ring each is arranged on the rear side of the flexural vibrating plate facing away from the transmission medium concentrically to the centerpoint of the flexural vibrating plate. Due to the increased mass the second antinodal zones oscillate at a substantially smaller amplitude than the first antinodal zones so that the sound waves opposite in phase generated by the first and second antinodal zones are unable to fully cancel each other out, as a result of which a radiation pattern materializes having a pronounced directivity in the direction perpendicular to the flexural vibrating plate.

Evaluation unit of a differential-pressure sensor An evaluation unit of a differential-pressure sensor is provided which supplies an output signal which corresponds to a differential pressure (.DELTA.P) which has been corrected with respect to a measuring error due to the static pressure (P.sub.S). The differential-pressure sensor has a capacitive single-chamber differential-pressure measuring cell with two capacitors (4, 5) as sensor element (1), and a temperature sensor (6) is arranged at the sensor element (1). The differential-pressure measured value is corrected by means of a first correction value (.DELTA.K) which is a measure of the static pressure (P.sub.S) at a reference temperature (T.sub.R). This correction value (.DELTA.K) is determined from the difference between a sensor temperature (T.sub.S) determined by means of the temperature sensor (6) and a sum of a temperature discrepancy (T.sub.0) and an internal temperature (T.sub.i) assigned to the sum (.SIGMA.) of the reciprocal values of the capacitances of the two capacitors (4, 5).

Evaluation unit of a differential-pressure sensor

A small, compact, easily mountable ultrasonic transducer for measuring the filling level in a container is provided, which transducer transmits virtually no oscillation energy to the container, having a can-shaped transducer housing (1), an electronics housing (2) connected to the transducer housing (1), a transducer element (4), arranged in the transducer housing (1), for the transmission and reception of ultrasonic pulses, a union ring (3) for the sound-decoupling securing of the ultrasonic transducer on the container, in which ring the transducer housing (1) is supported coaxially with respect to the union ring (3) and is fixed therein against displacement in the axial direction, and two resilient elements (7, 8) which are arranged between the transducer housing (1) and the union ring (3) and by means of which the transducer housing (1) and the union ring (3) are held spaced apart from each other in the radial direction in such a way that there is no direct mechanical coupling between them in the radial direction.

Ultrasonic transducer

A sound or ultrasound sensor is provided for transmitting and/or receiving sound or ultrasound, which is mechanically robust and chemically resistant and which has an adjustable emission characteristic, for example having a preferably small beam angle, having an emitting element (3) which has a flat front surface (34), and having a transducer element (1), the transducer element (1) causing the front surface (34) to oscillate on the basis of an excitation frequency, such that the entire front surface (34) carries out virtually in-phase deflections with virtually equal amplitude parallel to the normal to the front surface (34), and in which sensor concentric webs (32) are arranged on the front surface, there being a concentric gap (33) in each case between two adjacent webs (32), and a disk (5) sealing the sound or ultrasound sensor flush at the front, which disk is firmly connected to the webs (32) and has segments which are not connected to the webs (32) and are used as membranes (51).
