A gas generator () comprises a housing () in which a conical combustion chamber screen () terminates the combustion chamber (). On the front side, the combustion chamber screen () is closed by an end cap () to which a filter element () is connected which has one or more axially projecting centering extensions () on the edge of the filter bottom ().

Gas generator

The disclosure relates to a gas generator fora vehicle safety system. The gas generator has a longitudinal axis, an outer housing in the form of a compressed-gas container. In an inoperative state of the gas generator, the housing is filled with compressed gas. The housing is closed at one housing end with a closure element by a welded joint, which extends along the longitudinal axis from the welded joint into the housing. The housing has at least one bead for mechanically relieving the welded joint of load. A bead base of the bead is provided in a region of an axial longitudinal extent of the closure element.

The disclosure relates to a gas generator for a vehicle safety system, comprising a first ignition stage, and a second second ignition stage. The first ignition stage comprises a cup-shaped diffuser with a diffuser base and an adjacent diffuser sidewall (). The invention relates to an actuator assembly for an airbag module in a vehicle safety system comprising an actuator () and a tensioning means (), wherein the actuator () includes a release member () which in the idle state of the actuator is connected to a retaining member () and is separable from the retaining member () by actuating a pyrotechnical ignition unit of the actuator () along a predetermined breaking point () so as to release a loop () of a tensioning means (). Actuator subassembly

An apparatus () includes an inflatable vehicle occupant protection device () and an inflator () for providing inflation fluid for inflating the protection device. The inflator () includes an inflation fluid control structure (). The control structure () includes discharge openings () for directing inflation fluid into an inflatable volume () of the protection device () and vent openings () for venting inflation fluid outside the inflatable volume. The control structure () also includes a vent member () actuatable from an open condition permitting inflation flow through the vent openings () to a closed condition blocking inflation fluid flow through the vent openings.

A gas generator for a vehicle occupant restraint system a rigid outer housing (), a chamber () formed in the outer housing (), in which a compressed gas is present at least upon activation of the gas generator (), a component immovable () relative to the outer housing (12), at least one outflow opening () formed in the immovable component (), and a least one resilient element (), which is clamped inside the outer housing () and rests against the immovable component () at least in its normal position. In its normal position, the resilient element () closes a flow path between the chamber () and external surroundings of the gas generator () and is deformed elastically under the influence of compressed gas, whereby it clears a flow cross-section () whose size is increasing with increasing pressure.

A gas generator has a cylindrical gas generator housing () and a connecting piece () which is welded to the gas generator housing (). The connecting piece () has extensions () spaced apart in peripheral direction on the side facing the gas generator housing () and has a recess () between the extensions (). The connecting piece () is welded to the gas generator housing () at the extensions ().

Gas generator and a gas bag module

A gas generator has a combustion chamber containing a pyrotechnic propellant charge and a biasing unit biasing the propellant charge. A holding device is provided, which holds the biasing unit in a predetermined, fixed, compressed position and which is designed to be releasable, so as to selectively release the biasing unit, so that it arrives at a release position in which it exerts a biasing force on the propellant charge.

A gas generator comprises an oblong outer housing and an elongated combustion chamber insert with a tubular wall arranged in the outer housing. The combustion chamber insert contains a solid propellant, has a first and a second axial end and is held in the outer housing. The tubular wall of the combustion chamber insert is fixed at both axial ends by a form fit in radial and axial direction to the outer housing.

Gas generator and method for assembling of a gas generator

A gas generating device comprises a gas generator () which has an outer housing (), and a gas conduit pipe () which is connected to the gas generator () and via which a gas flows out from the gas generator (). The outer housing () has at least two openings () via which the gas conduit pipe () is fastened to the outer housing () and through which the gas can flow out when the gas conduit pipe () is not installed. The gas generator () is neutral with respect to thrust without the gas conduit pipe () arranged on it. The gas conduit pipe () projects into the interior of the gas generator () via at least one of the openings ().
