An upper fixed plate (3) can have an annular fixed plate (4) attached, where both are disposed at the lower end of a work arm (1) of an industrial robot. A spring-supported receiver disk (5) with an attachment ring (5a) for a gripper (2) can be supported on the upper fixed plate (3) and on the annular fixed plate (4). The upper fixed plate (3) and the annular fixed plate (4) each can have four engagement-catch recesses for ball-shaped locking elements (6). The engagement-catch recesses can be of conical shape and can have an opening angle of about 120 degrees and can have a depth of about 3 mm. In addition, the upper fixed plate (3) can be provided with two centering bores (3c) for motion-limiting pins (9). The motion-limiting pins (9) protrude into the motion-limiting bores (5c) of the spring-supported receiver disk 5. Next to the motion-limiting bores are disposed threaded bores (5b) with a threaded socket ( 7) for the ball-shaped locking element (6). The ball-shaped locking element (6) is pressed with a spring (8) into the engagement-catch recess (4b) of the lower annular fixed plate (4). The locking element (6a), illustrated on the right-hand side of the drawing of FIG. 1, is locked in an engagement-catch recess (3b) of the upper fixed plate (3).

The invention has reference to an overhead trolley, particularly for tracks in a store, its wheel running on a rail driven by a motor, where actuation of the pivoted auxiliary wheel assembly elevates the trolley to support the driven wheel of the trolley on a support wheel and the auxiliary wheel above a rail of the tracks. The trolley includes an arrangement with an auxiliary wheel, which may be pivoted manually into and out of engagement with the rail surface. Pivoting the auxiliary wheel into engagement with the rail surface has the effect of raising the drive wheel from the rail surface so that a disabled trolley may be pushed out of the way.

Motorized overhead trolley

An emergency brake mechanism is provided, particularly for small railway cars such as those used for monorail systems, for braking a car released by failure of the motor and main braking system. The brake mechanism includes a brake shoe with tapered surfaces extending in opposite directions longitudinally of the path of movement of the car for wedging a brake pad between the shoe and the rail surface. The brake pad is pushed into engagement by a movable tappet, which in turn is released to move toward the rail surface by a centrifugal governor monitoring the speed of the car. The brake housing mounts the brake shoe on one side of the rail with a counter-brake surface on the opposite side.

Emergency brake for rail cars

Disclosed herein is an improved trolley truck traveling on a monorail having spaced horizontal surfaces, in which a frame of the truck supports at least one supporting or traction wheel on the upper surface of the rail and a counterwheel on the lower surface of the rail, the separation of the wheels being greater than the vertical spacing of the horizontal rail surfaces to accommodate rapid and easy placement of the truck upon and/or removal of the truck from the monorail.
