A drive assembly driven by a drive unit locks one or several operating units () of an agricultural implement () or of a self-propelled implement. The operating unit () can be locked when switching off the drive unit or upon reaction of an overload coupling (). The drive assembly () has an overload coupling () connected to the drive unit and driven by the drive unit in one driving direction of rotation. The overload coupling () is also connected to the operating unit (). The drive assembly () further has a brake unit () connected to the overload coupling (). The brake unit () is intended to be arranged in the driveline between the overload coupling () and the operating unit (). Actuating mechanism () actuates the brake unit () when the operating unit is running so that the operating unit is braked and locked. Thereafter, the overload coupling is disconnected.

Drive assembly for locking one or several operating units of an agricultural implement or of a self-propelled implement

A coupling device used for driving or in the drives of, agricultural implements or machinery, has a first universal joint () with a first outer yoke () a first inner yoke (), a second universal joint () with a second outer yoke () and a second inner yoke (). A connecting member () connects the first inner yoke () and the second inner yoke () to one another in a rotationally fast way. A first coupling element () is connected to the first outer yoke () in a rotationally fast way. A pressure spring () is axially supported against and pretensioned between a supporting element (), which forms part of the connecting member (), and the first coupling element (). A longitudinal adjusting member enables an axial displacement of the first coupling element () relative to the supporting element ().

Coupling device

A gearing arrangement for driving at least one working unit, especially a cutter arrangement, has a support unit () with a connection mechanism () coupling to a tractor (). A gearbox housing () is pivotably supported around a pivoting axis () in the support unit (). The gearbox housing () can be directly or indirectly connected to the working unit (). An input shaft () is pivotably supported within the gearbox housing () around a rotational axis (). A connection mechanism () on the input shaft connects with a drive shaft (). The input shaft () drives at least one output shaft (), which is rotationally supported in the gearbox housing (). The output shaft () may be connected to intermediate shaft () to drive at least one working tool of the working unit.

Gearing arrangement

A device for controlling the position of a mountable implement relative to an implement carrier vehicle has a mountable implement () which can be moved at a predetermined height by the implement carrierfollowing the ground. A support element (), is coupled to the mountable implement () and can be attached to the implement carrier vehicle (). A coupling device (), is connected to the mountable implement () and to the support element (). The mountable implement () is freely adjusted to a lifting position corresponding to the height path relative to the support element (). An attachment device () attaches the support element () to the implement carrier vehiclehaving a lifting device. A sensor determines the actual lifting position of the mountable implement () relative to the support element (). A control device determines the deviation of the actual lifting position from a desired lifting position. The lifting device adjusts the support element () to a height position where the mountable implement () takes up the desired lifting position.

Device for controlling the position of a mountable implement relative to an implement carrier element

A torque limiting coupling defines a longitudinal axis ( ) and has a coupling hub ( ) with circumferentially distributed through holes. Transfer elements are adjustably held in the holes. A coupling sleeve ( ) has first recesses corresponding to the through holes. A switching disk ( ) is arranged relative to the coupling hub ( ) between a torque transmitting position and a freewheeling position. The switching disk ( ) is urged towards the torque transmitting position. This urges the transfer elements in the direction towards the coupling hub ( ). The transfer elements engage, for torque transmission, in recesses of the coupling sleeve ( ). Coupling sleeve ( ), when a predetermined nominal torque is exceeded, is transferable from the torque transmitting position to the freewheeling position. Second recesses, corresponding to the through holes, receive the transfer elements in the freewheeling position. A locking pawl ( ), in a retaining position, interacts at least with one switching face ( ) of the switching disk ( ). The switching disk ( ) is transferable from the torque transmitting position into the freewheeling position. In the retaining position, the locking pawl interacts with a first retaining face ( ) of the coupling hub ( ) so that the torque limiting coupling ( ) is retained against rotation.

Torque limiting coupling

A protective device for a driveshaft (1), with two universal joints (2, 3) has a protective cone (6) associated with the first universal joint. The protective cone (6) has an extension in the form of a cone portion (14). A sleeve (15) is received in a rotationally fast way in the cone portion (14). The sleeve (15) cooperates with an adapter ring (21). The adapter ring (21) is stationarily secured to an agricultural implement. The sleeve (15) is positioned on the adapter ring (21). The sleeve has inwardly directed splines which engage correspondingly distributed grooves (23) in the outer face of the adapter ring (21) which achieve a rotationally fast connection. The protective device also includes a first protective tube connected to the first protective cone (6). The first protective tube is associated with a second protective tube of the second universal joint in a rotationally fast way. The second tube is firmly connected to the second protective cone by an attaching cap. The attaching cap is secured to the second universal joint so that the entire protective device remains rotation free.

Protective device for a driveshaft

An angle drive, especially for agricultural implements, has a housing with two housing portions (1, 2). The two housing portions (1, 2) abut one another at a right angle. The angle drive is provided with a first bevel gear (11) arranged in the first housing portion. A second bevel gear (27) is arranged in the second housing portion. The two bevel gears (11, 27) are each supported by rolling contact bearings (16, 17, 33). The housing interior is sealed by seals (20, 20') between the first bevel gear (11) and the first housing portion (1) and between the second bevel gear (27) and the second housing portion (2). The two housing portions (1, 2) which concentrate on merely covering the outlines of the two bevel gears (11, 27) and provide an aperture (25) in the region of abutment between the two housing portions (1, 2), in which the two sets of teeth (14, 18) engage one another, produce a compact unit with a small enclosed volume. Thus, a little space is required and the required amount of lubricating oil is also small.

Angle drive

The invention relates to an angular bevel gear drive (6), for driving, or for the drive of, agricultural implements. It comprises a basic housing (9) and bevel gears (13, 14) arranged therein. The shafts (10, 11) of one or several of the bevel gears (14) are associated with individual bearing units (15) into which a torque measuring device (12) is integrated, i.e. the torque may be measured both at the input and the output end. The torque measuring device (12) operates in a contact-free way and is arranged between the bearings (18, 19) of the bearing unit (15). By combining the drive with a torque measuring instrument (12) it is possible to make optimum use of the power of the tractor and the implement or individual functional areas of the implement.

Angular bevel gear drive for agricultural implements

A bevel gear angle drive suitable for use in the drive line from an agricultural tractor to an agricultural implement comprises a housing 24 with input and output shafts at right angles having respective bevel gears 36 and 38 engaged with one another within the housing. The output shaft comprises a journal 40 to which is secured the outer joint part 44 of a constant velocity ratio universal joint; the journal being supported for rotation in bearings 46 at one side of the housing and the outer joint part being supported in bearings 48 at the other side of the housing. The output shaft bevel gear 38 is mounted on the journal 40 intermediate the axially separated bearings 46 and 48.

Bevel gear angle drive

A clutch assembly capable of providing several predetermined settings, wherein the components which support springs applying torque are not subjected to bending loads. The settings are achieved in that a supporting ring supporting a pressure plate against a clutch housing is provided with radially outwardly extending cams which are offset relative to the center thereof with two rows of apertures being provided in a cylindrical face of the clutch housing which are axially offset and offset relative to the angle of rotation and which correspond to the cams of the supporting ring and within which the cams are engaged.

Adjustable friction clutch assembly

A shaft connecting mechanism is provided between a slip-on hub and a power takeoff shaft by means of a control ring which extends around the slip-on hub and which is formed to have a pressure screw extend through a threaded bore therein, the pressure screw engaging against a clamping wedge in the slip-on hub which is formed with a trapezoidal configuration generally conforming with the configuration of an axiallly extending groove formed in the slip-on hub. Blocking members are arranged in radial apertures in the slip-on hub and pockets are formed in the control ring. The pressure screw when angularly aligned with the clamping wedge, places the control ring in the locked position and when the pressure screw and the clamping wedge are angularly unaligned, the blocking members enter the pockets in the control ring.
