In an embodiment, a method is provided for controlling thermal management of a device via a thermal system, the method including obtaining, via a flow sensor, flow data as to a flow of coolant of the thermal system; determining, via a processor, one or more characteristics of the flow of the coolant of the thermal system, based on the flow data; and adjusting control of the thermal system for the thermal management of the device, based on the one or more characteristics of the flow of the coolant of the thermal system, via instructions provided by the processor.

Method for remediating loss of coolant flow or aerated coolant in thermal management of devices

A smart parking recommendation system for energy conservation in a vehicle includes a smart parking recommendation application (SPRA) that determines that enabling conditions have been met and obtains from sensors and actuators of the vehicle, information about the vehicle and the vehicle's environment. The SPRA monitors information from the sensors and actuators and obtained from remote computing resources, a vehicle operator's current vehicle usage and determines a typical parking duration for a current parking location, and categorizes the current parking location. The SPRA utilizes an artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) model to suggest a parking spot within the parking location that satisfies user and energy consumption passenger compartment thermal quality preferences. The SPRA selectively parks or guides the vehicle to be parked within a parking spot that satisfies the constraints and preferences, and minimizes energy consumption for maintaining passenger compartment and battery thermal qualities.

Smart parking recommendation system for energy conservation

A cooling system includes a reactant material, a reactive material, a thermally managed control module, and a plunger. The reactive material is spaced apart from the reactant material. The thermally managed control module is configured to receive coolant from a coolant supply reservoir via a coolant supply channel. The plunger is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. When a temperature of the thermally managed control module is greater than a predetermined temperature, an actuator is configured to transition the plunger from the retracted position to the extended position and cause the reactive material to mix with the reactant material to create a second coolant via an endothermic reaction, and the second coolant enters the thermally managed control module via the coolant supply channel.

Secondary cooling system for control modules

Systems and methods are provided for monitoring fluid line in a vehicle configured to remove heat from an electronic device with a coolant. The systems may include a pump configured to flow the coolant through the fluid line, a sensing device configured to sense vibrations in the fluid line, and a controller that is configured to: receive vehicle state data, determine a recommended flow rate of the coolant based on the vehicle state data, determine vibration signal thresholds based on the vehicle state data and the recommended flow rate, initiate operation of the pump to flow the coolant at the recommended flow rate, determine whether the flow of the coolant is stable, receive sensor data indicative of the vibrations, determine signal characteristic(s) of the vibrations while the flow is stable, and initiate a remedial action based on a comparison of the signal characteristic(s) to the vibration signal thresholds.

Systems and methods for monitoring a fluid line in a vehicle

A method for inducing a vehicle occupant to bring a vehicle to a stop includes receiving malfunction data. The malfunction data is indicative of an impending vehicular malfunction will occur in a vehicle; determining that the impending vehicular malfunction will occur using the malfunction data. The method also includes determining that the vehicle is capable of operating without hazards for a predetermined amount of time in response to determining that the impending vehicular malfunction will occur. Further, the method includes commanding an actuator of the vehicle to provide a sensory feedback to the vehicle occupant to induce the vehicle occupant to stop the vehicle in response to determining that the impending vehicular malfunction will occur and determining that the vehicle is capable of operating without hazards for a predetermined amount of time.
