An oxidation furnace for the oxidative treatment of fibers, in particular for producing carbon fibers, including a housing, which is gas-tight, apart from passage areas for the fibers, and a process chamber located in the interior of the housing. By an atmosphere device, a hot working atmosphere can be produced and blown into the process chamber. Deflecting rollers, which are arranged outside of the process chamber in deflecting areas, guide the fibers through the process chamber in a serpentine manner so that the fibers lie next to one another as a fiber carpet, wherein the fiber carpet spans a plane between opposite deflecting rollers. Outlet fiber carpets of outlet fibers that have left the process chamber and are on the way to a deflecting roller can be cooled in a specific manner by a fiber-cooling device before the outlet fiber carpets reach the deflecting roller.

Oxidation furnace

The invention relates to a gate unit for gas-tight sealing of two adjacent high temperature zones within a high temperature oven, comprising a gate panel displaceable between an open position and a closed position within a guide structure. At least one sealing element is transported with the gate panel. Protecting means can be transported by the gate panel over at least one part of a transport path of the same, by which at least one segment of the sealing element can be protected over at least one part of the displacement path of the gate panel against influences harmful to the sealing element particularly against radiant heat. The invention further relates to a high temperature oven having an oven tunnel comprising a first high temperature zone and a second high temperature zone. The gate panel is disposed in a transition region between the first and the second high temperature zones.

An oxidation furnace for the oxidative treatment of fibers, especially for producing carbon fibers, which comprises a process chamber arranged inside a housing, a blowing device for hot air, at least one suction device arranged in an end region of the process chamber, at least one ventilator that circulates the hot air through the blowing device, the process chamber and the suction device, and at least one heating device arranged in the flow path of the hot circulated air. The suction device is formed from a plurality of vertically interspaced suction boxes. Said boxes have at least one outlet for the hot air, and at least one inlet for hot air, communicating with the process chamber and arranged in the outward-facing side of the suction boxes, that is the side that is at a distance from the center of the process chamber.

An oxidation furnace for the oxidative treatment of fibers having a processing chamber which can be found in the interior of a housing; at least one blowing device; at least one suction device; at least one ventilator that circulates the hot air through the blowing device, the processing chamber, and the suction device; and at least one heating device that lies in the flow path of the hot circulated air. Deviating rollers guide the fibers in a serpentine manner through the processing chamber such that the fibers lie next to one another as a carpet, the fiber carpet being stretched between each opposing deviating roller over one plane. The air in the processing chamber crosses the planes over which the fiber carpet is stretched at an angle that differs from 0&#xb0; and 90&#xb0; using special means.

Hot air can be blown into the process chamber by at least one air inlet device. Deflecting rollers flanking the process chamber guide the fibers arranged side by side in the form of a carpet through the process chamber in a serpentine manner, wherein each fiber carpet spans a plane between opposite deflecting rollers. The air inlet device allows hot air to be diverted to the side of the deflecting rollers facing away from the process chamber such that hot air flows over the respective deflecting roller and the fibers before it enters the process chamber.

An oxidation furnace for the oxidative treatment of fibers, which, comprises a process chamber arranged inside a housing, a blowing device arranged in the center of the process chamber, a suction device arranged in the two opposite end regions of the process chamber, at least one ventilator that circulates the hot air through the blowing device, the process chamber and the suction devices, and at least one heating device arranged in the flow path of the hot circulated air. The blowing device comprises a plurality of vertically interspaced blowing boxes comprising an inlet, and, on opposite sides, outlets for the hot air. Two stacks of vertically interspaced blowing boxes may be provided, said blowing boxes being interspaced one behind the other in the direction of movement of the fibers, and/or the built-in boxes in a stack comprise at least one additional outlet in the upper side and the lower side, for hot air.

An artificial hinge pin having a self-cutting threaded portion is inserted into a prepared bone with reduced reaction moment by a hand-held power tool which imposes a rotary oscillating movement on the pin during the insertion process. The tool has an output shaft driven by an overriding ratchet type coupling providing repeated impacts to the output shaft. A plurality of elastic rods connected to the output shaft are arranged coaxially around the shaft and are anchored to a rotary brake disk. Braking force on the disk is controlled by an adjustable compression spring. The eigenfrequency of the elastic system comprising the rods and output shaft may be adjusted to the impact frequency of the ratchet coupling.
