A method and a circuit for complying with specified maximum values for output parameters a power supply unit includes at least a non-floating switch converter, an output voltage control unit, a current limiter and a switch element, wherein actual values of the current and voltage outputs of the power supply unit are measured continuously, where an evaluation unit calculates actual output power values of the power supply unit from the actual measured values of the output current and voltages, and subsequently compares at least the respective actually measured values of the output current and the respective actually calculated output power values with specified maximum values such that if at least one of the specified maximum values is exceeded by an actually measured value of the output current and/or by an actually calculated output power value, a current flow in the power supply unit is then interrupted by the evaluation unit.

A switch mode power supply unit having a plurality of output channels and a web interface for connection to a communications network, where the switch mode power supply unit includes a real time Ethernet controller which is connected to a control of the switch mode power supply unit and is equipped as a web server such that a plurality of operating parameters of the switch mode power supply unit can be set and/or displayed in real time via the web interface such that the switch mode power supply unit can be configured and monitored via the communications network, while ensuring that any changes to the configuration are immediately effective.

An activation circuit for activating a power bridge circuit of a resonance converter, including an inductive activation transformer that transfers a pulsed control signal generated via a CMOS driver to the power bridge circuit, wherein a clamping circuit is arranged at the output of each CMOS driver, where the clamping circuit clamps a primary winding of the activation transformer to a ground potential during the dead time between two pulses of the pulsed control signal such that overvoltages, which otherwise arise when switching the activation transformer inductance, are thus clamped during a dead time and a circuit breaker switches off securely.
