A gas generator assembly for an airbag module of a motor vehicle, including a generator housing with a first housing part and a second housing part, a combustion space formed in the generator housing for accommodating a pyrotechnic charge from which a gas for inflating a gas bag of the airbag module can be generated by combustion. At least one outlet opening is provided in the generator housing through which gas generated in the combustion space can be released for inflating the gas bag. At least one filter unit is arranged in the generator housing for filtering the gas generated from the pyrotechnic charge. The assembly includes a guide element arranged in the generator housing, by means of which the generated gas is guided to the at least one outflow opening. The guide element is of tubular form and has at least one deformation area.

A gas generator includes an ignition charge, at least one ignition element for igniting the ignition charge, a storage chamber containing a compressed gas, which storage chamber is closed by a closure element, and an impact element destroying the closure element under pressure. A piston is provided as the impact element, which piston, after the destruction of the closure element, forms an exit gap with the opening closed by the closure element. The cross-sectional area of which exit gap changes in according to the position of the piston.

Gas generator

The invention relates to a pyrotechnic gas generator, especially for passive restraint systems in motor vehicles, comprising at least two independent loading spaces ( ) which contain fuel ( ) and to each of which an ignition unit ( ) is assigned which can be controlled independently of each other. Pyrotechnic gas generator

The hybrid gas generator to inflate airbags comprises two combustion chambers (,), in each of which a solid material charge (,) is placed, and a storage chamber (,) containing a pressurized storage gas.
