Shortcut keypad system for electronic communications comprises first apparatus and second apparatus. First apparatus and second apparatus each comprise an input device, a processor and a memory. The input device comprises selectable items including first selectable item. The processor of the first apparatus receives a selection of the first selectable item, and transmits a signal corresponding to the first selectable item to the second apparatus. The processor of the second apparatus receives the signal corresponding to the first selectable item, and causes the input device of the second apparatus to indicate that the signal corresponding to the first selectable item is received. Shortcut keypad for visual electronic communications

Systems and methods are provided that relate to vibrational input elements configured to provide inputs to control an application executed by a mobile computing device. The vibrational input elements may produce distinct vibration patterns that are detectable by a sensor of the mobile computing device. The respective vibration patterns may correspond to one or more actions that may be performed in relation to the application.

An apparatus to perform fast data access comprises a receiver, a processor, and a memory. The processor receives using the receiver a light signal from a light source. The light signal can be structured to generate a temporal code. The light source is an optical beacon that includes a Light-Emitting Diode (LED). The processor then decodes the light signal to generate a network address, and causes a display of a client device coupled to the apparatus to display information based on the network address. The network address can be a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) address and the information based on the network address includes a webpage associated with the URL. In response to detecting the activation, the processor captures the audio signal via the microphone and transmits the audio signal via the communication interface to a first client device. An apparatus to target recipients of media content items comprises a camera, a communication interface, and a selector input device. The selector input device is communicatively coupled to the camera and the communication interface and has settings associated with groups of recipients. The groups of recipients include a first group and a second group. In response to receiving a selection of a first setting from the selector input device, the camera captures a first media content item and the communication interface transmits the first media content item to the first group. The selector input device can be a rotary wheel. To select the first setting from the plurality of settings, the user can rotate the rotary wheel to the first setting and press the rotary wheel. Selector input device to target recipients of media content items

An apparatus to perform functions on media content items comprises a camera, a communication interface, and a selector input device. The selector input device is communicatively coupled to the camera and the communication interface and has a function setting. In response to detecting activation of the selector input device, the camera captures a media content item and the communication interface transmits the media content item to the server for function processing. The selector input device can be a rotary wheel. To select the function setting from the plurality of settings, the user can rotate the rotary wheel to a function setting and press the rotary wheel.
