Provided is an inflatable shoe insert for inserting in a shoe. The insert comprises first and second web plies that are sealed together at a plurality of seals that define an air chamber. The air chamber includes a front region having a toe expansion region uninterrupted by seals over an area so that when fully inflated, the front region expands to a height and medial-lateral width to support the shoe upper against collapsing. The air chamber further includes a retention portion having a region in which the seals are spaced closer together than in the toe expansion region so that when fully inflated, the retention portion expands to a medial-lateral width that is smaller than that in the toe expansion region, the retention portion having an anterior-posterior length that reaches the heel of the shoe to retain the front region in the toe box by pressure against the heel.

An inflatable corner packing device for protecting corners of a product includes: first and second thermoplastic films having a first section, a second section, and an elbow section connecting the first and second sections in a vertical direction, wherein a plurality of fluid containers each extending in the vertical direction, and the first and second sections and the elbow section each have a right side portion, a left side portion, and a middle portion connecting the right and left side portions, wherein the side portions are inwardly crooked for holding a product therebetween. The first and second thermoplastic films are folded, and the folded films are bonded in the elbow section along a border between adjacent fluid containers in each crooked side portion, leaving a remaining portion of the border unbonded, so that the bonded borders form the elbow section.

A packaging device includes first and second thermoplastic films superposed with each other, wherein predetermined portions of the thermoplastic films are bonded creating a plurality of fluid containers, a plurality of check valves each connected to a corresponding fluid container, a fluid passage in a first direction connected to the check valves, and a second border between an inflated section including the plurality of fluid containers and an uninflated section, wherein the first and second thermoplastic films are folded and two side edges of the films are bonded and a first portion of a first border connecting the inflated section to a second section is folded and an overlapped portion of the first portion is bonded leaving a remaining portion of the first border unbonded wherein the uninflated section forms a loop, and wherein the uninflated section forming the loop is folded into the inflated section to form a lining.

Structure of inflatable packaging device

An air-packing device inflatable by compressed air for protecting a product, where the air-packing device is used in a pair to securely hold the product for protection. The air-packing device is configured by an inflated portion that has a plurality of air containers, each of the air container having a check valve that prevents reverse flow of air, an uninflated portion that is not filled with compressed air, an air input commonly connected to the plurality of check valves to supply the compressed air to the air cells through the check valves. The plurality of air containers create an enclosure structure to surround one end of the product to be protected, and the uninflated portion is flipped inside the enclosure structure to create a pouch portion that holds the package to be protected.

An air-packing device has an improved shock absorbing capability to protect a product in a container box. The air-packing device is comprised of first and second thermoplastic films where predetermined portions are bonded thereby creating a plurality of air containers, a plurality of heat-seal lands each sealing the first and second thermoplastic films in a small area of the air container thereby creating a plurality of series connected air cells for each air container, a plurality of check valves for corresponding air containers for allowing the compressed air to flow in a forward direction. A bendable flap portion is created that facilitates opening and closing operations so that a product to be protected can be easily placed or removed.

An air-packing device has an improved shock absorbing capability to protect a product in a container box. The air-packing device is comprised of first and second thermoplastic films where predetermined portions are bonded thereby creating a plurality of air containers, a plurality of heat-seal lands each sealing the first and second thermoplastic films in a small area of the air container thereby creating a plurality of series connected air cells for each air container, a plurality of check valves for corresponding air containers for allowing the compressed air to flow in a forward direction, and at least one pocket formed of a sheet of thermoplastic film bonded to either the first thermoplastic film or the second thermoplatic film at boundaries between two adjacent air containers. The air-packing device is folded after the product is inserted in the pocket and installed in a container box.

Each of the enclosure portion and the pocket portion is configured by first and second thermoplastic films which are bonded at predetermined portions thereby creating a plurality of air containers. Each of the air containers has a check valve for allowing the compressed air to flow only in a forward direction.

An air-packing device has an improved shock absorbing capability to protect a product in a container box. The air-packing device is comprised of an enclosure portion that surrounds and supports a pocket portion that holds a product to be protected such that the pocket portion does not contact the ground when shocks are applied to the air-packing device. Each of the enclosure portion and the pocket portion is configured by first and second thermoplastic films which are bonded at predetermined portions thereby creating a plurality of air containers. Each of the air containers has a check valve for allowing the compressed air to flow only in a forward direction.
