An alkali-resistant pigment composition is provided comprising (a) a C.I. Pigment Yellow 139 and (b) an adduct containing a compound of formula (II) or a tautomeric form thereof, wherein X is O, S or NR; Y is O, S or NR; the group -A-B&#x2014; is selected from the group consisting of &#x2014;CR&#x2550;CR, &#x2014;CRR&#x2014;CRR, &#x2014;CY&#x2014;CRR, &#x2014;CX&#x2014;NR, &#x2014;CR&#x2550;N&#x2014;, &#x2014;CRRNRand Ris hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Caryl or C-Caralkyl; R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare independently of each other hydrogen, halogen, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, or C-Caryl, or Rand Rform a benzoannellated ring; and/or a melamine- or pyrimidine-based compound, which is optionally substituted. The pigment composition may be used as colorant in various applications, especially in coloring high molecular weight organic material, for example, coating compositions, paints, printing inks, liquid inks, plastics, films or fibers.

A pigment composition is provided comprising (a) an organic pigment and (b) an adduct containing a compound of formula (I) or a tautomeric form thereof, wherein X is O or S; Y is O, S or NR; the group -A-B&#x2014; is selected from the group consisting of &#x2014;CR&#x2550;CR&#x2014;, &#x2014;CRR&#x2014;CRR&#x2014; &#x2014;CY&#x2014;CRR&#x2014;, &#x2014;CX&#x2014;NR&#x2014;, &#x2014;CR&#x2550;N&#x2014;, &#x2014;CRR&#x2014;NR&#x2014; and Ris hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Caryl or C-Caralkyl; R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare independently of each other hydrogen, halogen, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl or C-Caryl, or Rand Rform a benzoannellated ring; and/or a melamine- or pyrimidine-based compound, which is optionally substituted. The pigment composition may be used as colorant in various applications, especially in coloring high molecular weight organic material, for example, coating compositions, paints, printing inks, liquid inks, plastics, films or fibers. 

Pigment composition

The invention relates to pearlescent pigments comprising a platelet-shaped substrate, a metal oxide coating comprising a metal oxide layer having a refractive index of greater than 1.8 and a protective layer, wherein the protective layer comprises a metal oxide/hydroxide layer and optionally boroxide, applied to which is an organic aftercoat of an acrylic copolymer, to a method for producing said pigments and the use thereof. The outer layer provides a very good photo-stabilisation of the TiOcoated platelet-shaped substrates, such as mica, combined with a good water resistance and an anti-yellowing performance.

The present invention relates to a pigment preparation that comprises, as component (A), 2,4,5,7-tetraminopyrimido[5,4g]pteridine of formula (1), as component (B), a phosphate compound, and optionally, as component (C), further additives, to a process for the production thereof and to the use thereof for colouring high molecular weight organic material and in the production of printing colorants, printing pastes or printing inks.
