In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for signaling and decoding of punctured sub-bands in a trigger-based PPDU. In one aspect, at least one of the communication interface or the processing circuitry of a wireless communication device is configured to generate a trigger frame that includes signaling indicating that at least one other wireless communication device is allowed to reduce a bandwidth of an allocated resource unit (RU) for transmitting data via a communication channel; transmit, via the communication channel, the trigger frame to at least one other wireless communication device; receive, via the communication channel and from the at least one other wireless communication device, an uplink (UL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) frame including the data; and process the UL OFDMA frame including the data based on the signaling.

Signaling and decoding of punctured subbands in trigger-based PPDU

Disclosed herein are related to systems and methods for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication. In one aspect, during a first time period, a master access point transmits, to a slave access point, information for a joint transmission by the master access point and the slave access point. In one aspect, the slave access point estimates synchronization information for the joint transmission, according to the information for the joint transmission. In one aspect, during a second time period after the first time period, the master access point transmits a portion of a null data packet to a station device. In one aspect, during the second time period, the slave access point transmits the portion of the null data packet to the station device, based on the synchronization information for the joint transmission. In one aspect, the station device determines steering information for the MIMO communication, according to the null data packet.

Frame formats for distributed MIMO

Disclosed herein are related to systems and methods for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication. In one aspect, during a first time period, a master access point transmits, to a slave access point, information for a joint transmission by the master access point and the slave access point. In one aspect, the slave access point estimates synchronizing information for the joint transmission, according to the information for the joint transmission. In one aspect, during a second time period after the first time period, the master access point transmits a portion of a steered frame to a station device. In one aspect, the slave access point transmits, during the second time period, the portion of the steered frame to the station device, based on the synchronizing information. In one aspect, the station device decodes the portion of the steered frame to obtain content data in the portion of the steered frame.

A wireless transceiver for a wireless local area network (WLAN) including a port evaluator and a port correlator. Transceiver radio frequency 'RF' communication ports are configured to couple to at least one of a wired or wireless communication medium. Shared and discrete components form transmit and receive chains each coupled to a corresponding RF communication port for communications with associated transceiver nodes. The port evaluator is coupled to each of the RF communication ports and configured to evaluate the selected communication channel on each of the RF communication ports with respect to each of the plurality of transceiver nodes. The port correlator is coupled to the shared and discrete components and to the port evaluator and configured to correlate each of the transceiver nodes with a corresponding subset of the RF communication ports supporting optimal communications therewith based on the evaluation by the port evaluator.
