An aqueous composition comprising an aluminum sesquichlorohydrate salt, water soluble calcium salt, and amino acid, wherein the molar ratio of water soluble calcium salt to aluminum is at least 1:40 and the molar ratio of amino acid to aluminum is at least 1:20 and methods for making such compositions having enhanced antiperspirancy performance.

Antiperspirant compositions

A UHT process for the manufacture of an aqueous antiperspirant composition comprising the steps of: (i) mixing aluminium-containing antiperspirant salt, water soluble calcium salt, amino acid, and water, (ii) heating the mixture to a temperature of greater than 100&#xb0; C. at a pressure of greater than 1 Bar (100,000 Pa) and (iii) restoring the mixture to ambient temperature and pressure.
