The disclosure relates to a three-way conversion catalyst for the treatment of an exhaust gas comprising nitrogen monoxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbon, wherein the catalyst comprises: (i) a substrate; (ii) a first coating comprising rhodium supported on a first oxidic component; (iii) a second coating comprising palladium supported on a non-zeolitic oxidic material, wherein the non-zeolitic oxidic material comprises manganese and a second oxidic component, wherein the second coating consists of 0 weight-% to 0.001 weight-% of platinum; wherein the first coating is disposed on the substrate over x % of the axial length, with x ranging from 80 to 100; wherein the second coating extends over y % of the axial length from the inlet end to the outlet end and is disposed on the first coating, with y ranging from 20 to x.

Three-way conversion catalyst in gasoline-natural gas applications

An oxidation catalyst composite, methods, and systems for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions from a diesel engine are described. More particularly, an oxidation catalyst composite including a first washcoat comprising a zeolite, Pt, and first refractory metal oxide support containing manganese, a second washcoat comprising a second refractory metal oxide support, a Pt component and a Pd component, and a third washcoat comprising palladium and a rare earth oxide component is described.

A selective catalytic reduction catalyst for the treatment of an exhaust gas stream of a passive ignition engine, the catalyst comprising a porous wall-flow filter substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end, a substrate axial length (w) extending between the inlet end and the outlet end, and a plurality of passages defined by porous internal walls of the porous wall flow filter substrate; wherein the catalyst further comprises a first coating, said first coating extending over x % of the substrate axial length from the inlet end toward the outlet end of the substrate, x being in the range of from 10 to 100, wherein the first coating comprises copper and an 8-membered ring pore zeolitic material; wherein the catalyst further comprises a second coating, the second coating extending over y % of the substrate axial length from the outlet end toward the inlet end of the substrate, y being in the range of from 20 to 90, wherein the second coating comprises copper, and optionally an 8-membered ring pore zeolitic material; wherein the catalyst optionally further comprises a third coating; wherein x+y is at least 90; wherein y % of w from the outlet end toward the inlet end of the substrate define the outlet zone of the coated substrate and (100&#x2212;y) % of w from the inlet end toward the outlet end of the substrate define the inlet zone of the coated substrate; wherein the ratio of the loading of copper in the inlet zone, Cu(in), calculated as CuO, relative to the loading of copper in the outlet zone, Cu(out), calculated as CuO, Cu(in):Cu(out), is less than 1:1.

Selective catalytic reduction catalyst on a filter substrate

A process for preparing a catalyst comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper, the process comprising (i) preparing an aqueous mixture comprising water, a zeolitic material comprising copper, a source of copper other than the zeolitic material comprising copper, and a non-zeolitic oxidic material selected from the group consisting of alumina, silica, titania, zirconia, ceria, a mixed oxide comprising one or more of Al, Si, Ti, Zr, and Ce and a mixture of two or more thereof; (ii) disposing the mixture obtained in (i) on the surface of the internal walls of a substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end, a substrate axial length extending from the inlet end to the outlet end and a plurality of passages defined by internal walls of the substrate extending therethrough; and optionally drying the substrate comprising the mixture disposed thereon; (iii) calcining the substrate obtained in (ii).

In-situ copper ion-exchange on pre-exchanged copper zeolitic material

The present invention relates to a selective catalytic reduction catalyst for the treatment of an exhaust gas of a diesel engine comprising: a flow-through substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end, a substrate axial length extending from the inlet end to the outlet end and a plurality of passages defined by internal walls of the flow through substrate extending therethrough; a coating disposed on the surface of the internal walls of the substrate, wherein the coating comprises a non-zeolitic oxidic material comprising manganese and one or more of the metals of the groups 4 to 11 and 13 of the periodic table, and further comprises one or more of a vanadium oxide and a zeolitic material comprising one or more of copper and iron.

Selective catalytic reduction catalyst for the treatment of an exhaust gas of a diesel engine

A catalyst containing a washcoat including copper or iron on a small pore molecular sieve material having a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms physically mixed with platinum and rhodium on a refractory metal oxide support including alumina, silica, zirconia, titania, and a physical mixture or a chemical combination or an atomically doped combination thereof is described. A catalyst containing a first washcoat zone substantially free of platinum group metal and including copper or iron on a small pore molecular sieve material having a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms; and a second washcoat zone including copper or iron on a small pore molecular sieve material having a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms physically mixed with platinum or platinum and rhodium on a refractory metal oxide support including alumina, silica, zirconia, titania, and a physical mixture or a chemical combination or an atomically doped combination thereof is provided. A method and a system for treating emissions using the catalyst are also described.

An oxidation catalyst composite, methods, and systems for the treatment of exhaust gas emis-sions from a diesel engine are described. More particularly, described is an oxidation catalyst composite including a first oxidation material comprising a first refractory metal oxide support, a rare earth oxide, and palladium (Pd); a second oxidation material comprising a second refractory metal oxide, and platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd); and a protective overlayer comprising a third refractory metal oxide, platinum (Pt) and, optionally, palladium (Pd), and a molecular sieve promoted with a metal selected from one or more of Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, V, and, Ag. The oxid-ation catalyst composite is sulfur tolerant.
