A method includes storing subscriber data at one or more locations, and storing, at least one of the one or more locations, one or more rules for managing the subscriber data at least one of the one or more locations. The subscriber data regarding at least one of the one or more locations is managed on the basis of the rules.

Managing subscriber information

The present invention proposes a method for data element information management in a network environment, the network environment comprising a plurality of data element information entities (), each keeping a respective record of data element information for a plurality of subscribers, and a request routing entity (), adapted to route (, S) requests to a selected one of said plurality of database entities, the method comprising the steps of transmitting (S) a data element information update for a specific subscriber to said routing entity (), selecting, at said request routing entity (), one () of said plurality of database entities for said specific subscriber, forwarding (S) said data element information update to said selected database entity (), and relaying (S) said data element information update from said selected database entity () to another database entity () of said plurality of database entities. Also, the present invention concerns a request routing entity and a database entity, adapted to mutually cooperate with each other in order to perform the method according to the present invention.

Data element information management in a network environment

A mechanism and method for controlling the rights and/or behavior of applications in a terminal, especially in a mobile terminal, are disclosed. At least some of the messages generated by an application residing in the terminal and destined for a communication network are diverted to an independent controlling entity also residing in the terminal. In the controlling entity, the messages are controlled before being transmitted to the network. Depending on the application and its behavior in the terminal, the control entity may modify the messages or even prevent their sending to the network. The modification may include inserting control data, such as a digest, which can be used to authenticate the application.

Control of terminal applications in a network environment

The present invention proposes a method for enabling a subscriber entity to actively communicate in a communication network, a subscriber entity being identified by at least one assigned subscriber identity (IMSI, MSISDN), said communication network comprising at least one database entity of a first type () keeping a first record of data of subscriber entities enabled to actively communicate in a communication network, the method comprising the steps of: storing said at least one assigned subscriber identity of at least one subscriber entity not enabled to actively communicate in said communication network in a database entity () of a second type, informing (SS) said database entity () of said second type about a need to enable said at least one not enabled subscriber entity to actively communicate in said communication network, and, upon being informed, transferring (S) information related to a subscriber entity not enabled, from said database () of said second type to a selected one () of said at least one database entity of said first type (). Also, the present invention proposes an accordingly adapted database entity of the above mentioned second type and a register entity for interaction with said database entity of said second type.
