Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a coordinator network node and one or more network access nodes interworking in a wireless communication system. The coordinator network node determines a joint resource allocation area (&#x3a9;) based on measurement messages from network access nodes. The determined joint resource allocation area (&#x3a9;) is thereafter transmitted to the network access nodes. Thereby, the coordinator network node enables to determine the portion of the first or the second service areas that are free from interference from neighbouring network access nodes where each network access node can perform resource allocations independently. It further enables to determine/identify the joint resource allocation area where neighbouring network access nodes significantly interfere each other. Therefore, e.g. resource allocation in the system can be improved. Furthermore, the disclosure also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

Coordinator network node and access network nodes for resource allocation in a wireless communication system

A first network node is configured to: group served cells into a first set of cells and at least one second set of cells, the cells in the first set of cells being associated with a first set of cell information and cells in the second set of cells being associated with a second set of cell information; generate a setup request including a first indication indicating the first set of cells and their respective first set of cell information and the second set of cells and their respective second set of cell information; and transmit the setup request to the second network node. The second network node is configured to receive a setup request from a first network node, the setup request including a first indication.

Network nodes and methods thereof

A user node comprises a first modem capable of receiving a full set of resource elements and a secondary transceiver modem capable of receiving a subset of resource elements among the full set of resource elements, the subset of resource elements comprising resource element blocks. The first transceiver modem is configured to receive first control information identifying the subset of the resource elements and second control information enabling determination of a currently used resource element block among the subset of resource elements, send the first control information and the second control information to the secondary transceiver modem and enter into a reduced power state. The secondary transceiver modem is configured to receive at least one signal in the subset of resource elements while the first transceiver modem is in the reduced power state, determine a control decision and output at least one command.

The present disclosure relates to an access network node for a wireless communication system. The access network node is configured to act as a source access network node or as a target access network node, and comprises a transceiver configured to receive a handover instruction from a control device, the handover instruction comprising a handover time instance for a user device, a processor configured to serve the user device by maintaining a data connection with the user device until the handover time instance, and share an Automatic Repeat Request/Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request, ARQ/HARQ, process with a target access network node for the user device; or serve the user device by maintaining a data connection with the user device after the handover time instance, and share a ARQ/HARQ process with a source access network node for the user device.
