A method and apparatus to perform actions in public safety incidents based on actions performed in prior incidents are disclosed. An example method includes receiving a first set of incident information associated with the public safety incident, receiving a second set of responder information associated with at least one public safety personnel, correlating, by using a public safety recommendation engine, the first set of incident information and the second set of responder information with one or more other sets of public safety incident information and responder information associated with prior incidents, identifying, by the public safety recommendation engine, at least one correlated mobile device action from mobile device actions associated with a subset of prior public safety incidents, and causing the correlated mobile device action to be at least one of presented as a recommendation on the corresponding mobile device and performed by the corresponding mobile device.

Methods and apparatus to perform actions in public safety incidents based on actions performed in prior incidents

An image processor provides a combined image of an object from first and second cameras. The image processor receives a first image from a first camera and a second image from a second camera. The first and second images each include a field of view and metadata associated with the image. The image processor determines whether a combined image of the first and second images will be viewed by a person or a machine. If the combined image is to be processed by a machine, the first and second metadata are included with the combined image and sent to the machine. If the combined image is to be viewed by a person, the combined image includes a subset of the metadata so that the image is not too large or too cluttered.

Method and image processor for sending a combined image to human versus machine consumers

A method and apparatus for routing traffic around geographic location (such as an incident scene) is provided herein. During operation, base station RF load levels will be obtained. Any vehicle not part of the incident will be geographic routed around overloaded base stations. Because vehicles will be geographic routed around overloaded base stations, the overloaded base stations will not have to handle the additional RF load from the appropriately-geographic routed vehicles.

Method and apparatus for routing traffic within a communication system

A method and apparatus are provided that select an instance of a service for use by a mobile device. A list of multiple instances of the service is assembled, wherein each instance of the service of the multiple instances of the service is hosted by a different mobile device of multiple mobile devices. For each of the multiple instances of the service, situational information and environmental information is determined in association with the mobile device hosting the instance, wherein the situational information comprises information associated with an operating condition of a user of the hosting mobile device and wherein the environmental information comprises information associated with environmental conditions in which the hosting mobile device is operating. An instance of the service then is selected from among the multiple instances based on the environmental information and the situational information determined for each of the multiple instances.
