The combination of ethaboxam and transgenic plants provides enhanced plant protection in controlling plant disease. According to the present invention, an application of an effective amount of ethaboxam to transgenic plants applied to plant foliage parts; soil-applied in drench or soil incorporation; or applied to seed using seed slurry application, seed film coating and seed pelleting technologies for seed, gives a good controlling effect on plant diseases. Application of ethaboxam to transgenic plants encompasses all monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous crop types.

Method for controlling plant disease

The present invention relates to non-aqueous pesticidal dispersible concentrate formulations comprising from about 2 to about 10% of at least one pesticidal agent, from about 15 to about 25% of hexylene glycol, from about 65 to about 75% of propylene glycol, a hydrophobic silica, and a surfactant, wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the formulation. Formulations of the present invention have superior storage stability but are non-phytotoxic to seeds when used as a seed treatment. The present invention also relates to ready-to-use products made from the concentrated formulations of the present invention. Further, the present invention includes methods of using the pesticidal dispersible concentrate formulations and ready-to-use products to achieve superior plant protection and disease control.

Pesticidal dispersible concentrate formulations

The present invention generally relates to aqueous seed treatment formulations comprising from about 0.2 to about 15% of at least one pesticidal agent, from about 0.1 to about 0.45% of at least one graft copolymer, at least one polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and from about 5 to about 30% of at least one plasticizer. The present invention also relates to aqueous seed treatment formulations wherein the pesticidal agents are clothianidin, metconazole, and metalaxyl.

Seed treatment formulations

Treatment with N-(2-phenylethyl)succinamic acid or its salts protects against inhibition of growth by a neonicotinoid compound applied as a seed treatment or applied directly on or near the root zone of the seedling.

Enhancement of plant growth

The present invention generally relates to aqueous seed treatment formulations comprising a pesticidal agent, a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a graft copolymer, and a plasticizer. In one embodiment of the invention, PVA-compatible polymer emulsions are employed. The present invention also relates to uses of the disclosed compositions for protecting seeds from pests.

Seed treatment formulations and methods of use

A storage stable pre-mix composition comprising endospores of Bacillus subtilis and at least one chemical fungicide component when applied to plants, e.g., in the form of their seeds, provides enhanced protection against phytopathogenic fungi.
