A method includes providing a user with access to online banking via a user device, providing a user interface on the user device including a plurality of display areas, and rearranging positions of the plurality of display areas of the user interface based on the user selecting an auto-arrange option. Selection of the auto-arrange option causes at least one of the plurality of display areas on the user interface to be arranged in a new position based on account activity of the user.

A computer-implemented method includes receiving a check deposit and a withdrawal request associated with an account of a customer where the account is associated with a first amount and where the withdrawal request comprises a second amount greater than the first amount, forwarding an inquiry message regarding the check deposit to a paying computing system where the inquiry message includes an identifier of the paying computing system that maintains an account of a payor in a paying database, determining real time account status information of the account of the payor where the real time account status information is based on accessing an organized data structure, and authorizing the withdrawal request for the second amount in real time relative to when the real time account status information is accessed where the authorization occurs prior to settlement of the check deposit.

Systems and methods can include a computing system configured to receive an indication of a closing of an account associated with a customer of the provider institution. The computing system can be configured to identify resources of the account. The computing system can be configured to retrieve a hierarchical ordering matrix that utilizes at least one parameter to control distribution of the resources. The hierarchical ordering matrix can comprise a plurality of rails. The computing system can be configured to determine a preferred rail for distributing the resources based on an application of at least one parameter associated with at least one of the resources or the customer. The computing system can be configured to initiate a distribution of the resources via the preferred rail.

A computer-implemented system and method receive information regarding a funds transfer from a payor to a payee. The information is received by a depository computer system. The depository computer system forwards the information regarding the funds transfer to an account verification service computer system. The depository receives an indication of a real time account status of an account of the payor. The account status information is received from a paying bank computer system that maintains the account of the payor via the account verification service computer system. Release of the funds to the payee is authorized based on the account status information received via the account verification service computer system. The authorization occurs in real time relative to when the funds transfer information is initially received.

A computer-implemented data processing system includes a data storage system, and a processor and program logic stored in memory and executable by the processor. The program logic includes logic configured to manage accounts respectively associated with a plurality of users, process transactions for the accounts and store account data related to the accounts in the data storage device, access the account data stored in the storage device and determine projected retirement spending amounts for a user based on account data associated with the user, determine a projected required savings amount based on the projected retirement spending amounts, and establish a connection with one of the users and provide the user with a user interface, the user interface including retirement planning data, the retirement planning data including an indication of the user's progress in accumulating the projected required savings amount.
