The present invention is directed to the discovery, isolation, identification and methods of synthesis of a novel chemical complex that can be used to stabilize mixtures of different chemical compounds, and in particular mixtures of different herbicidal compounds.

A stabilized herbicidal composition comprising fenoxaprop ester herbicide in combination with pyrasulfotole. The present disclosure also provides for a method of stabilizing herbicidal compositions.

Stabilized herbicidal composition

A herbicide composition includes a fenoxaprop ester and a weak acid buffer system. The buffer system maintains the herbicidal composition at a pH in the range of 4 to 8. In one non-limiting embodiment, the fenoxaprop ester is fenoxaprop ethyl. The buffer system can include an amine-containing material, such as a tertiary amine. The herbicide composition can include other herbicides, such as weak acid herbicides, for example pyrasulfotole, bromoxynil, and/or bromoxynil esters and can include one or more safeners.

A stabilized herbicidal composition, comprising a fenoxaprop ester herbicide, a salt of 2,4-D, a salt of MCPP-P and a salt of Dicamba, which may also optionally contain additional stabilizers such as triethylamine. Also disclosed is a stabilized herbicidal composition comprising a fenoxaprop ester herbicide in combination with a bromoxynil mixed ester herbicide. The stabilized herbicidal compositions of the present invention may also contain one or more surfactants and/or safeners.

The present invention relates to a process for inhibiting or eliminating the growth of microorganisms in pesticide suspensions. More particularly, the process of the present invention includes the addition of a combination of peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and water to the pesticide suspension. Further, the process of the present invention includes the application of the peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and water combination to the interior surface of the vessel in which the pesticide suspension is contained. Still further, the process of the present invention includes the application of the peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and water combination to a surface in which the pesticide suspension is in contact.

The present invention provides a composition for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms in water-based pesticide suspensions. In accordance with this invention, the composition comprises from about 0.01% to about 60% by weight of a pesticide; from about 0% to about 20% by weight of a surfactant; from about 0% to about 20% by weight of an antifreeze agent; from about 0% to about 5% by weight of a viscosity builder; from about 0.5% to about 2% by weight of acetic acid; and from about 10% to about 99.49% by weight of water. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the acetic acid has a pH of from about 3 to about 5.
