A multilayer thermoplastic extruded structure comprises at least one thermoplastic polyolefin layer; at least one thermoplastic vinyl aromatic polymer layer; and a multicomponent tie layer. The multicomponent tie layer comprises at least one thermoplastic polyolefin; at least one thermoplastic vinyl aromatic polymer; and at least one styrenic block copolymer. Preferred structures are multilayer films used for packaging or multilayer sheets for thermoformed containers.

Multilayer coextrusions

Curable compositions containing novel polysiloxanes having various reactive functional groups are disclosed. The curable compositions are useful as both ambient-cured and thermally-cured coating compositions which provide such properties as excellent appearance, mar resistance, acid etch resistance, adhesion, pot life, improved tack time, mar resistance and corrosion resistance.

Curable compositions based on functional polysiloxanes

A storage-stable, curable film-forming composition is provided comprising: (i) a crosslinking agent selected from an aminoplast, a blocked polyisocyanate, and mixtures thereof; and (ii) a hydroxyl functional acrylic polymer further containing a plurality of alkoxysilane groups of the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl, and R.sub.2 is a divalent group. The acrylic polymer is prepared in a solvent medium comprising an alcohol. The curable film-forming composition is suitable for use in color-plus-clear composite coating compositions.

Color-plus-clear composite coating compositions containing alkoxysilane

Polysiloxane polyols and curable coating compositions containing such polysiloxane polyols are disclosed. When present as a component in both ambient-cure and thermal-cure coating compositions the polysiloxane polyols provide improved adhesion, pot-life, tack-times, mar resistance, excellent appearance, film hardness and corrosion resistance. A method for preparing such polysiloxane polyols is also disclosed.

A composition which is the reaction product of (i) a material having the structure ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is an organic radical having 6 to 25 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 is alkylene having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are independently alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and n is 2-4 and (ii) an acidic hydrogen-containing compound. The compositions are useful as catalyst in induction curable adhesive compositions.
