Methods, devices, and systems for aircraft stand management are described herein. One device includes a memory, and a processor to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to receive information associated with arriving and departing flights at an airport, determine, using the received information, whether a conflict exists at a parking stand of the airport assigned to an aircraft, generate, using the received information, an airfield parking stand analysis, including a time chart for the parking stand and a list of different parking stands to assign to the aircraft in response to a conflict existing at the parking stand, and a user interface to display the airfield parking stand analysis in a single integrated display.

Aircraft stand management

Methods, devices, and systems for aircraft taxi routing are described herein. One device includes instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to receive a record of a plurality of historical routes taken by a plurality of aircraft through taxiways of an airport, receive an indication of a plurality of conditions particular to the airport, receive an indication of a starting point of a proposed route in the airport and an endpoint of the airport, wherein the starting point and the endpoint are associated with a proposed taxiing of an aircraft, determine a route between the starting point and the endpoint based on the plurality of historical routes and the plurality of conditions, and provide the determined route to an air traffic controller.

Aircraft taxi routing

Methods, devices, and systems for aircraft taxiway routing are described herein. One device includes a memory, and a processor to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to receive routing data associated with an airfield of an airport, determine a group of taxiway routes associated with the airfield of the airport using the routing data where each respective taxiway route includes a number of taxiway segments, receive a routing plan request, generate a routing plan for an aircraft at the airfield using the group of taxiway routes in response to receiving the routing plan request, and a user interface to display the routing plan in a single integrated display.

Aircraft taxiway routing

A method includes aggregating multiple zones of an indoor structure, each zone having associated comfort limits, formulating an aggregated single zone model predictive control (MPC) problem representative of the multiple zones for a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, determining optimal aggregated actions as a function of the aggregated single zone model predictive control problem, simulating an optimal trajectory of indoor qualities, and determining zone temperature setpoints to comply with the comfort limits for each zone and pre-cool the indoor structure.

Optimized precooling of structures

A system for purchasing and selling power that fairly accommodates sellers and buyers. For instance, a submarket may be formed between a utility company or retailer and its consumer or customer. The utility or retailer may eliminate differences between generated or purchased power and demanded power. Mechanisms used for elimination of power differences may incorporate utilizing power from ancillary services, purchasing or selling power on the spot market, and affecting a demand for power with demand response programs. A difference between purchased power and demanded power may be minimized by forming an optimal power stack having a mix of power of the demand response program, power at the spot market and/or power of ancillary services. An optimization sequence may be implemented to minimize the difference between the purchased power and demanded power, and to maximize profit.

Decision support system based on energy markets

Generally discussed herein are methods and apparatuses that can reduce conflicts in an area including vehicles. An apparatus can include transceiver circuitry, and conflict detection circuitry to receive a position of a vehicle in a geographical area that is segmented into discrete cells, determine whether the position is situated in a cell of the cells that includes a polygonal area representing an extended restricted area within the cell, and the extended restricted area completely within the polygonal area, in response to a determination the position is situated within the polygonal area, determine whether the position is situated within the extended restricted area, and in response to a determination the position is situated within the extended restricted area, provide one or more signals to the transceiver circuitry to cause the transceiver circuitry to transmit an alert to the vehicle indicating that a conflict exists.

Vehicle conflict detection

A supervisory controller for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is described herein. One device includes a data management module configured to receive a zone demand signal from a local controller of a zone of an HVAC system and receive a number of additional signals from a number of sensors, and a parameter identification module configured to determine, based on the zone demand signal, whether the zone is in a comfort state by loading a best model structure from a number of models and identifying parameters of the best model structure based on data received from the data management module.

Supervisory controller for HVAC systems

Devices, methods, and systems for data-driven acceleration of deployed services are described herein. One system includes a database configured to store a plurality of case pairs that correspond to previously calculated models, wherein the previously calculated models are based on a number of features, and wherein each of the plurality of case pairs comprise a first value representative of the number of features and a second value representative of deployed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) resources, a ranking engine configured to rank each of the plurality of case pairs based on a performance of the deployed services, and a deployment engine configured to: receive actual feature values, and deploy HVAC resources based on a comparison between the actual feature values and the plurality of ranked case pairs.

Devices, methods, and systems for data-driven acceleration of deployed services

Identifying models of dynamic systems is described herein. One method for identifying a model of a dynamic system includes estimating a number of parameters for each of a number of models of the dynamic system, predicting an output using the estimated number of parameters for each of the number of models, calculating a rate of error of the predicted output for each of the number of models compared to an observed output, and identifying a best model among the number of models of the dynamic system based on the calculated rate of errors.

Identifying models of dynamic systems using regression model for parameters and error rates

Tuning model structures of dynamic systems are described herein. One method for tuning model structures of a dynamic system includes predicting a variable for each of a number of models associated with a number of model structures of a dynamic system, calculating a rate of error of the predicted variable for each of the number of models compared to an observed variable, determining a best model structure among the number of model structures based on the calculated rate of error, and creating a revised model structure using the best model structure to tune the number of model structures of the dynamic system.

Tuning model structures of dynamic systems

A thermal control system for a building is disclosed, which includes a regression model: Given a forecast temperature outside the building, the regression model predicts how much an HVAC system will cost to run during a day, for a given set of time-varying target temperatures for all the thermostats in the thermal control system. The thermal control system may also include an optimizer, which invokes multiple applications of the regression model. Given a forecast temperature outside the building, the optimizer predicts an optimal set of time-varying target temperatures for all the thermostats in the thermal control system. Running the HVAC system with the optimal set of time-varying target temperatures should have a reduced or a minimized cost, or a reduced or minimized total energy usage. The optimizer works by running the regression model repeatedly, while adjusting the time-varying target temperature for each thermostat between runs of the model.

HVAC controller with regression model to help reduce energy consumption

A virtual sub-metering process using combined classifiers includes generating an electric power consumption signature database by receiving data from an electric power consumption measuring meter and auxiliary data from a building management system, and clustering the data. After the generation of the electric power consumption signature database, additional data from the electric power consumption measuring meter and the auxiliary data from the building management system is received, and this additional data is processed to generate a second steady-state load classification component. A second transient state component is extracted from the additional data. The steady-state load classification components and the transient shape components from the electric power consumption signature database, the second steady state load classification component, the second transient shape component, and control signals and status signals associated with the plurality of electric power consuming devices are correlated and combined.

Virtual sub-metering using combined classifiers

A system that transforms information into fuzzy observable states. These states may be matched against a mapping table which indicates which observable state admits or excludes particular faults. This information may be processed over time when in each time instant the admitted or excluded faults are used for updating the rate for each fault.
