Disclosed is a conjugated polymer-cation exchanger composite membrane suitable for a charge-mosaic membrane which is easily prepared and has excellent mechanical or chemical strength and good properties for charge-mosaic membrane. The composite membrane of the present invention comprises a conjugated polymer and cation exchangers dispersed therein.

Novel detergent composition comprises one or more of N-acyl-N-hydroxyalkylglycines of the general formula (I) or salts thereof: ##STR1## The composition has a very good resistance to hard water, low stimulativeness, and good detergency. It is thus suitably employed as shampoo for babies, kitchen detergent and the like.

A medical composition for external application comprises a dialkyl phosphate represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent a hydrocarbon group having from 6 to 24 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 independently represent hydrocarbon group having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, m and n independently represent a value of from 0 to 20, and x represents a hydrogen atom or a salt of an alkali metal and the like. In the presence of the dialkyl phosphate, percutaneous intake of medically active ingredients is highly enhanced. Examples of the medically active ingredients directed to in the invention include antiinflammatory agents such as ethyl aminobenzoate; adrenocortical hormones such as hydrocortisone; etc. The inventive composition is highly safe without giving any stimulation to the skin.

Medical composition for external application

A finely powdered polymer latex in the rod-like form having a major axis of from 0.1 to 100 microns and a minor axis of below 1/3 times the major axis. When the particles are dispersed in water at a concentration of 15 wt %, the thixotropy index, .eta.3/.eta.30 is not less than 1.5. The polymer powder of the above size and configuration is useful in various fields including paint binders, diagnostic means and cosmetics. The polymer latex is prepared by solubilizing a polymerizable monomer in rod-shaped micelles, and polymerizing the monomer while keeping the rod-shaped micelle structure.

A porous sheet is disclosed that comprises a thin, flexible sheet made of thermoplastic resin having solid particles distributed therein. Small spaces are formed around the particles, such that abrasion or buffing of the opposite surfaces of the sheet causes the formation of a multitude of fine pores that extend through the sheet, making the sheet vapor-permeable but liquid-impermeable.

An alkaline builder-free detergent composition contains a partially neutralized succinic acid derivative of the formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group of 8-18 carbon atoms, and X and Y each are hydrogen, an alkali metal, ammonium or an alkanolamine, characterized in that when the composition is diluted with water thereby to give a succinic acid derivative content of 0.5 wt. %, the solution has a pH of 5.5-8.0.

A durable anti-fogging agent composition comprises at least one sulfonic acid type amphoteric surface active agent represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each stand for an alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or benzyl group, the sum of carbon atoms of the groups R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is in the range of 16 to 38 and one of the groups R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having at least 14 carbon atoms, and R.sub.4 stands for an alkylene or hydroxyalkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and at least one member selected from inorganic salts and acetates represented by the general formulae MeSCN, MeNO.sub.3, MeX and MeOOCCH.sub.3 in which Me is a cation selected from Na, K, Li, NH.sub.4, 1/2Ca and 1/2Mg and X is a halogen ion.

Durable anti-fogging composition

A detergent composition comprising a detergent system including as a main active detergent component an anionic surface active agent or a non-ionic surface active agent or both of these surface active agents, and incorporated therein, 3 to 50% by weight of a 1-hydroxyalkane-sulfate having 12 to 22 carbon atoms based on the amount of the detergent composition.
