Rotational member () with plural tactile pins () movable up-and-down for displaying characters is rotated by rotation driving means. Elastic O-rings () are provided in the rotational member () for pressing and holding the pins (). Actuators () brought to contact the pins () are provided nearby the rotational member () for positioning the pins () at desired heights from a tactile surface. Cam () brought to contact with the pins () is provided also nearby the rotational member () for positioning the pins () at the reset position or height. Furthermore, selectively actuating means is provided for selectively actuating the actuators (). Owing to such arrangement, a continuous tactile pin display apparatus can be reduced in size, weight and cost. By providing at least the pins () or the rotational member () with a photocatalyst, it becomes possible to decompose contaminants, such as bacteria, sweat, oil of the hand and food particles, deposited on the pins or their peripheral portions.

The adhesive applied on the cathode-ray tube is removed by using a rotary brush having metal wires. Still more, judging whether a safety panel is installed at the front side of the cathode-ray tube or not by using distance sensors, the safety panel is classified. Such disassembling process is executed by using an automated disassembling apparatus.

A printed wiring board comprises a main board and a pair of rows of connection terminals for holding a card board in a vertical position. Each connection terminal is inserted into the main board at a predetermined interval, and electrically connected with a circuit pattern of the main board. The printed wiring board allows the card board to be positioned vertically on the main board, and is adaptable to change the number of patterned external connection terminals of the card board.
