An embroidery device includes a needle including a hole through which a thread has been passed, a dyeing unit configured to dye the thread in different colors, an embroidery unit configured to move the needle to perform a sewing process on a medium with the thread dyed in the different colors by the dyeing unit, and a remover configured to remove the linear member in a vicinity of the needle.

Embroidery device

A drive circuit for an inkjet recording head includes a plurality of electrically capacitive actuator elements, a drive signal source, a plurality of switching elements, and a plurality of resistances. The actuator elements are provided for a plurality of nozzles, and drive the nozzles to eject ink therefrom. The drive signal source outputs a drive signal for driving the actuator elements. The switching elements are connected to the respective actuator elements to separately drive the actuator elements, and selectively apply the output drive signal to the actuator elements. The resistances are provided for the respective actuator elements, and are connected to low potential sides of the actuator elements. Each of the resistances has a resistance value adjusted in accordance with the length of a wire between the corresponding one of the actuator elements and the drive signal source.

Drive circuit for inkjet recording head, and inkjet recording device

A tone determination device, which determines the tonality of an input signal, is capable of reducing calculation complexity. Therein a frequency conversion unit () converts the frequency of an input signal; a downsampling unit () carries out shortening processing which shortens the vector series length of the frequency-converted signal; a constancy determination unit () determines the constancy of the input signal; depending on the constancy of the input signal, a vector selection unit () selects either the vector series of the post-frequency conversion signal or the vector series after the shortening of the vector series length; a correlation analysis unit () uses the vector series selected by the vector selection unit () to obtain correlations; and a tone determination unit () uses the correlations to determine the tonality of the input signal.

Tone determination device and method

An image forming device includes a liquid discharge head including piezoelectric elements; a drive waveform generating unit that outputs a drive waveform; a selection unit that applies the drive waveform to the piezoelectric elements; a resonant frequency adjusting circuit that is connected in parallel with the piezoelectric elements; a switch unit that switches the resonant frequency adjusting circuit; and a switching control unit that causes the switch unit to switch in accordance with a first number of simultaneously driven piezoelectric elements. When the first number of the simultaneously driven piezoelectric elements is greater than a predetermined number, the switching control unit connects the resonant frequency adjusting circuit, so that a resonant frequency of a closed loop becomes lower than a resonant frequency of the closed loop when the first number of the simultaneously driven piezoelectric elements is less than the predetermined number.

Image forming device

An LSP vector quantization device able to improve the precision of quantization in vector quantization where a codebook for first stage vector quantization is switched according to the type of a feature that has a correlation with the quantization target vector. In this device, a classifier () selects, from a plurality of code vectors for classifying, the code vector for classifying that indicates the type of the feature that has a correlation with the quantization target vector; a switch () selects, from among a plurality of first codebooks, the first codebook corresponding to the abovementioned type; an error minimizing unit () selects, from the plurality of first code vectors constituting the selected first codebook, the first code vector closest to the quantization target vector; a matrix determining unit () selects, from a plurality of matrices, the matrix corresponding to the abovementioned type; and the error minimizing unit () uses the selected matrix to select, from a plurality of second code vectors, the one that is closest to the residual vector between the selected first code vector and the quantization target vector.

Vector quantization device, vector inverse-quantization device, and methods of same

A vector quantizer which improves the accuracy of vector quantization in switching over a vector quantization codebook on a first stage depending on the type of feature having the correlation with a quantization target vector. In the vector quantizer, a classifier generates classification information representing a type of narrowband LSP vector having the correlation with wideband LSP (Line Spectral Pairs) of the plural types. A first codebook selects one sub-codebook corresponding to the classification information as a codebook used for the quantization of the first stage from plural sub-codebooks corresponding to each of the types of narrowband LSP vectors. A multiplier multiplies the quantization residual vector of the first stage inputted from an adder by a scaling factor corresponding to the classification information of plural scaling factors stored in a scaling factor determiner and outputs it to an adder as the quantization target of a second stage.
