A detection apparatus includes a sensor, a detection circuit, and a light source configured to emit light in a first color, a second color, and a third color. The detection circuit acquires a first output, a second output, and a third output that are outputs of the sensor corresponding to a period when the light in the first color is emitted, a period when the light in the second color is emitted, and a period when the light in the third color is emitted, respectively. The detection circuit adjusts at least two or more of the first, second, and third outputs based on adjustment coefficients derived so as to equalize a fourth output, a fifth output, and a sixth output. The fourth, fifth, and sixth outputs are outputs obtained when the sensor is directly irradiated with the light in the first, second, and third colors from the light source, respectively.

Detection apparatus and detection system

According to an aspect, a detection device includes: photodiodes that are provided on a substrate; light-emitting elements that are arranged so as to face the photodiodes; and a light-transmitting placement substrate that is disposed between the photodiodes and the light-emitting elements and on which target objects are to be placed. The photodiodes, the placement substrate, and the light-emitting elements are arranged in the order as listed, in a direction orthogonal to the substrate. A light-emitting element of the light-emitting elements corresponding to the photodiode to be detected is controlled to be lit, and another light-emitting element of the light-emitting elements corresponding to the photodiode not to be detected is controlled to be unlit. The photodiodes to be detected output sensor values based on light from the lit-up light-emitting elements. The light-emitting elements adjacent to the lit-up light-emitting elements at least in row and column directions are controlled to be unlit.

Detection device

A detection device includes: a planar detection device including photodetection elements; point light sources provided correspondingly to the photodetection elements; a light directivity control element disposed between the point light sources and the photodetection elements; and a detection circuit electrically coupled to the photodetection elements. Each point light source corresponds to at least one of the photodetection elements. In a light amount setting mode, the point light sources are lit up at different light amounts; the photodetection elements output sensor values corresponding to the different light amounts; the sensor values that are detected are compared with a preset target sensor value; and light amounts for detection of the point light sources are set. In a detection mode, the point light sources are lit up at the set light amounts for detection; and the photodetection elements output sensor values corresponding to the light amounts for detection.

Detection device with light directivity

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area, a first sensor electrode, a second sensor electrode and a detector. The display area displays an image. The first sensor electrode is disposed in a peripheral area surrounding the display area. The second sensor electrode is disposed in the peripheral area and disposed adjacent to the first sensor electrode. The detector is electrically connected to the first sensor electrode and the second sensor electrode. The first sensor electrode and the second sensor electrode both have a body portion and a comb tooth portion having a plurality of linear electrodes. A comb tooth portion of the first sensor electrode and a comb tooth portion of the second sensor electrode are disposed at mutually different locations.

Display device, detection device, and watch

A chromaticity adjusting method of a projector includes a first light source for emitting blue light and a second light source for emitting yellow light including red light and green light. A chromaticity value of the blue light is acquired and the chromaticity value and the luminance value of each of the red light and the green light is obtained. The second target chromaticity value is determined based on the first target chromaticity value, the chromaticity value of the blue light, and the chromaticity value and the luminance value of each of the red light and the green light. Light quantities of the first and second light sources are controlled based on the second target chromaticity value. Signal levels of the red, green, and blue color components included in the video signal are controlled according to the difference between the first target chromaticity value and the second target chromaticity value.

Chromaticity adjustment method and projector

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area, a plurality of sensor electrodes and a shield electrode. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer sealed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a pixel electrode, and a counter-electrode. The plurality of sensor electrodes are arranged to surround the display area. The shield electrode is arranged between the plurality of sensor electrodes and the pixel electrode or the counter-electrode located closest to a boundary between the display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area, in planar view. A predetermined reference voltage is applied to the shield electrode.

Display device and watch

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal layer provided between a first substrate and a second substrate, a detection electrode configured to detect an external proximity object, a plurality of pixels overlapping the detection electrode in plan view, and a detection circuit configured to detect a detected capacitance value generated in the detection electrode. A liquid crystal capacitance value generated between each of the pixels and the detection electrode includes a first capacitance value at a first gradation and a second capacitance value at a second gradation smaller than the first gradation, and the detection circuit corrects the detected capacitance value based on a ratio between number of pixels with the first gradation and number of pixels with the second gradation out of the pixels.

Liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a plurality of detection electrodes, a first shield electrode and a second shield electrode. The plurality of detection electrodes are disposed in a peripheral area surrounding a display area configured to display an image. The first shield electrode is disposed on a first substrate and in at least the peripheral area, the first shield electrode having a predetermined fixed potential. The second shield electrode is disposed on a second substrate and in at least the peripheral area, the second shield electrode having the predetermined fixed potential. The first shield electrode and the second shield electrode are disposed, in a plan view, on a side of the display area with respect to each of the detection electrodes.

A technology which can improve the accuracy of touch detection is proposed. A display device includes: a touch panel including plural drive electrodes and plural detection electrodes; plural peripheral wirings; and plural switching elements each of which is disposed between a detection electrode and the corresponding peripheral wiring and that is connected to the detection electrode and the corresponding peripheral electrode. The touch panel executes detection by means of a mutual detection scheme using the plural drive electrodes and the plural detection electrodes. In a condition in which a predefined voltage is applied to the peripheral wirings when the plural switching elements are in an off-state, the voltages of the drive electrodes are changed, and subsequently a condition in which the changes of the voltages of the drive electrodes can be detected from the peripheral wirings is set, and the switching elements are turned from off to on.

Display device and touch panel

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a sealant, a first electrode, an insulating film and a second electrode. The sealant bonds the first substrate and the second substrate and is provided in a peripheral area surrounding a display area. The first electrode is provided on the first substrate in the peripheral area. The insulating film covers the first electrode. The second electrode is provided on the second substrate in the peripheral area. The sealant contains a conductive member. At least one of the first electrode and the second electrode includes a plurality of fine line portions in an area where the first electrode, the insulating film, the sealant, and the second electrode are overlapped in planar view.

Display device

A display device is provided and includes display panel; sensor substrate formed on display panel; and M drive electrodes and detection electrodes extended in direction so as to intersect with M drive electrodes, wherein among M drive electrodes, any of lengths of N first drive electrodes, which are continuously adjacent to one another, is shorter than any of lengths of other N second drive electrodes which are continuously adjacent to one another, and number of detection electrodes which intersect with N first drive electrodes is larger than number of detection electrodes which intersect with N second drive electrodes.

Display device with touch detection

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposing the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, at least one first detection electrode disposed in a display area and a plurality of second detection electrodes disposed in a peripheral area. In a display period in which images are displayed on the display area, a predetermined voltage is applied to the first detection electrode to drive the liquid crystal layer, and in a period in which the liquid crystal layer is not driven, the first detection electrode is set to a state of being not electrically connected to anywhere or being connected to a predetermined potential with an impedance of 50 k&#x3a9; or higher.

Display device, detection device and watch

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, detection electrodes provided to surround a display area where an image is displayed, and a common electrode provided over an entire surface of the display area. The common electrode includes a first lead wiring line that extends to a peripheral area around the display area, along a boundary part between a first detection electrode, which is one of the detection electrodes, and a second detection electrode adjacent to the first detection electrode. A capacitance formed between the first lead wiring line and the first detection electrode is substantially equal to a capacitance formed between the first lead wiring line and the second detection electrode.

A technology that can make the touch detection results at corner portions proper is proposed. A display device includes a display panel, a sensor substrate formed on the display panel, and plural drive electrodes and plural detection electrodes extended in a direction so as to intersect with the plural drive electrodes on the sensor substrate. Among the plural drive electrodes, any of the lengths of N first drive electrodes (where N represents the number), which are continuously adjacent to one another, is shorter than any of the lengths of the other drive electrodes. An area where at least one drive electrode among the N first drive electrodes and at least one detection electrode overlap each other is larger than the area of an intersectional portion where any of the other drive electrodes and any of the other detection electrodes overlap each other.
