An inkjet recording medium obtained by forming a coating layer containing a pigment and a binder on the surface of a base material and coating layer is subsequently pressed onto a heated mirror finished surface to dry to form an ink absorbing layer through a cast coating method, wherein pigment contains a colloidal silica that has a primary particle diameter of from 10 nm to 100 nm while the ratio of the secondary particle diameter to primary particle diameter is from 1.5 to 3.0.

Thermal recording medium

A thermally sensitive recording medium containing a thermally sensitive recording medium providing an undercoating layer containing a pigment and a binder as main components and a thermally sensitive recording layer containing a colorless or pale colored basic leuco dye and a color developing agent, which reacts with said basic leuco dye, as main components on a substrate, wherein the undercoating layer contains carboxymethyl cellulose having an etherification degree of from 0.55 to 0.75 and hydroxyethyl cellulose from the view point of high effectiveness.

A thermally recording sheet which has high sensitivity in color development, satisfactory background heat resistance, and a satisfactory background color. The sheet contains a dihydroxydiphenylsulfone compound represented by general formula (1) as a color developer and a sulfonamide represented by general formula (2). Multi chromatic thermally sensitive recording medium

A thermally sensitive recording paper having a recording surface which when a postage stamp or a revenue stamp is adhered to the recording surface requires at least ten cycles of a removal test procedure to remove at least one third of the adhered surface of the stamp from the recording surface of the thermally sensitive recording paper, wherein the removal test procedure comprises adhering the postage stamp or revenue stamp to the recording surface of the thermally sensitive recording paper, hanging the recording paper over an iron bar of about 8 mm diameter with the postage stamp or revenue stamp on an outer surface of the recording paper, adjusting the recording paper such that equal lengths are on either side of the iron bar, attaching to one end of the thermally sensitive recording paper a weight of about 500 g, holding the other end of the thermally sensitive recording paper by hand and carrying out a pull down ant put back cycle motion of the hand to move the postage stamp or revenue stamp over the iron bar until at least a portion of the postage stamp or revenue stamp is removed from the surface of the recording paper.

A thermally sensitive recording medium which has good printability and surface glossness, by forming a glossing layer on a thermally sensitive recording layer on a substrate, and said glossing layer contains an inorganic pigment and a fixing composition which does not cause sticking at higher temperature than 200&deg; C., and the surface glossiness of the glossing layer based on JIS-P-8142 in which angle of incidence and angle of reflect is 75 degree is bigger than 50%.

A thermally sensitive recording medium which has thermally sensitive recording layer containing colorless or pale colored basic leuco dye and organic color developer as main components on a substrate, wherein said thermally sensitive recording layer contains diphenylsulfone bridgeable type compound represented by general formula (1) and at least one compound represented by general formula (1).
