Stay members to which various parts are to be attached are provided at a rear portion of a motorcycle, and stay supporting portions that support the stay members are provided on a vehicle body frame. The various parts include side bag supporting members and a carrier member. The side bag supporting members and the carrier member are fastened together to the stay members by a plurality of fastening members, and the stay members to which the side bag supporting members and the carrier member are fastened together are fastened to the stay supporting portions.

Rear portion structure for saddle type vehicle

An air cleaner structure that is capable of achieving smooth air-intake capability while separating water contained in air to supply clean air to the engine side. A lower half member of an air-intake duct is, when viewed from above, provided with a central partition and partitions located symmetrically in the vicinity of the central partition, partitions located near both ends, and narrowing passages and widening passages surrounded by the partitions. Air enters from the front of the vehicle body and flows like eddy currents from outlet ports of the widening passages to the outlet ports of the narrowing passages like eddy currents. Thus, coarse particulate and dust contained in the air stay on the outlet port side of the air-intake duct.

Air cleaner structure

A steering damper apparatus for a two-wheeled vehicle includes a steering damper housing with a lower end portion fixed to the motorcycle's main frame. A first torque arm has a first end fixed to a pivotally movable shaft, and a second end which is connected, via a first pin, to a first end of a second torque arm. The second torque arm has a second end bolted to a top bridge on the main frame. The first and second torque arms are pivotally movable relative to one another, via the pivot shaft and the first pin. The apparatus is capable of accommodating a change in distance between the pivot shaft and the bolt on the second torque arm. A two-part cover is provided for the steering damper body, including a housing cover secured to a fixed side thereof, and a torque arm cover secured to a movable side thereof.
