To obtain control channel information from a base station that communicates with the user device via a shared carrier, a user device monitors () a control channel on the shared carrier according to a pre-transmission pattern of control channel occasions. While monitoring the control channel using the pre-transmission pattern, the user device receives () from the base station, via the shared carrier, a signal indicating a transmission time during which the shared carrier is available to the base station. In response to receiving the signal, the base station monitors (), during the transmission time, the control channel on the shared carrier according to a transmission pattern of control channel occasions that is different than the pre-transmission pattern but includes at least one control channel occasion that overlaps a control channel occasion of the pre-transmission pattern.

System and method for scheduling an uplink transmission assignment

This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for fifth generation new radio uplink multiplexing assisted by shared grant-free transmission. A user equipment (UE) inserts a first cyclical redundancy check (CRC) into a transport block (TB), encodes the TB, including the CRC, into a codeword (CW). Based on receiving a preemption indicator for part of a first physical resource, the UE selects a first part of the CW for rate matching with a length based on a received uplink (UL) grant and the received preemption indicator. The UE transmits the first part of the CW using the first physical resource, selects a second part of the CW, inserts a second CRC in the selected second part of the CW, and transmits the second part of the CW using a second physical resource.

Fifth generation new radio uplink multiplexing assisted by shared grant-free transmission

Techniques for implementing an uplink control channel in Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) asynchronous transmissions are disclosed. The techniques described herein provide an additional control channel in NOMA transmissions for a user equipment (UE) () to indicate certain information to a base station () to enable the base station () to detect and decode the data transmitted by the UE (). For example, uplink control information (UCI) is transmitted () via an uplink control channel in connection with a group user equipment identifier (group UE-ID) to enable the base station () to detect and decode the UCI. After decoding () the UCI based on the group UE-ID, the base station () obtains information usable to distinguish () the UE (), such as a UE-specific ID, as well as to detect () and decode () a data transmission from the UE () on an uplink data channel.

Methods and apparatus for an uplink control channel in NOMA asynchronous transmissions

The present disclosure describes techniques and apparatuses for non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) configuration procedures in split base station architectures, including the configuration of user equipment (UE) for NOMA transmission. The base station receives a trigger relating to a UE. Responsive to the trigger, the base station configures the UE to perform NOMA transmission by at least one of a Central Unit of the base station transmitting a first message including the NOMA configuration to a Distributed Unit of the base station and transmitting a second message including the NOMA configuration to the UE, the Central Unit transmitting the second message including the NOMA configuration to the UE, or the Distributed Unit transmitting a third message including the NOMA configuration to the Central Unit and the Central Unit transmitting the second message including the NOMA configuration to the UE.

Non-orthogonal multiple access configuration in split base station architectures

In a Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) system, a user equipment (UE) can be configured to transmit signals with multiple access (MA) signatures. If a base station configures multiple MA signatures to a UE, the UE can select one or more MA signatures, then transmit signals in parallel, serial, or in hybrid ways. Due to the flexibility and complexity of the UE selecting MA signatures without an explicit configuration from the base station, additional control overhead is provided to support parallel HARQ processing. In addition, a new DCI format is disclosed that supports multi-branch NOMA transmission, which allows multiple ACK/NACKs within a DCI. Further, using the techniques disclosed herein, a base station can explicitly indicate ACK-NACKs without being assisted by a HARQ ID field.

Device and method for handling a multi-panel synchronization signal block transmission

A system and method for disintegrated channel estimation in wireless networks. The system provides a disintegrated channel estimation technique required to accomplish the spatial diversity supported by cooperative relays. The system includes a filter-and-forward (FF) relaying method with superimposed training sequences for separately estimating the backhaul and the access channels. To reduce inter-relay interference, a generalized filtering technique is provided which multiplexes the superimposed training sequences from different relays to the destination by time-division multiplexing (TDM), frequency-division multiplexing (FDM) and code-division multiplexing (CDM) methods.
