A display panel includes: a substrate on which pixels are disposed; a bank which defines a light emitting area of the pixels; a light emitting layer formed in the light emitting area, the bank includes: a hydrophilic bank which extends in a row direction and separates pixel rows; a first hydrophobic bank which is formed on the hydrophilic bank; and a second hydrophobic bank which extends in a column direction and separates pixel columns, and the first hydrophobic bank has a lower hydrophobic property than that of the second hydrophobic bank.

Organic light emitting display device

The present disclosure provides an organic light-emitting display device that includes a substrate. A plurality of sub-pixels are arranged on the substrate, and each of the sub-pixels includes an organic light-emitting diode having a first electrode. A first bank has a plurality of first openings, and each of the first openings at least partially exposes a respective first electrode. A second bank has a plurality of second openings, and each of the second openings at least partially exposes one or more of the first electrodes. Each of a first set of the second openings exposes n first electrodes (n is a natural number equal to or greater than 1), and each of a second set of the second openings exposes m first electrodes (m is a natural number equal to or greater than 1), wherein n and m are different values.

A method for manufacturing an electroluminescent display device can include providing a plurality of pixels on a substrate; providing a plurality of sub pixels in each of the plurality of pixels; forming a first electrode at each of the sub pixels on the substrate; forming a bank layer covering an end of the first electrode on the substrate; coating a first emission layer corresponding to at least two sub pixels among the plurality of sub pixels; and coating a second emission layer corresponding to at least two other sub pixels among the plurality of sub pixels, in which the second emission layer is spaced apart from the first emission layer.

Discussed is an electroluminescent display device that may include a first emission layer provided to correspond to at least two among a plurality of sub pixels, a second emission layer provided to correspond to at least two among the plurality of sub pixels, wherein the second emission layer is spaced apart from the first emission layer, and a bank layer provided along the boundary between the first emission layer and the second emission layer.

An organic light emitting display panel according to an aspect of the present invention includes a planarization layer positioned on a substrate including a plurality of pixels, and a first opening portion formed in a non-emission area of the pixel, a first electrode formed on a portion exposed through the first opening portion and the planarization layer, a bank including a portion overlapping an edge of the first electrode, and exposing a portion corresponding to an emission area of the pixel on the first electrode, an organic layer formed on the portion corresponding to the emission area of the pixel on the first electrode, and a second electrode formed on the bank and the organic layer.
