A touch panel having a visible area and a non-visible area disposed at least on one side of the visible area. The touch panel includes a substrate, a nano-metal conductive layer, a trace layer, a first passivation layer, and a second passivation layer. The nano-metal conductive layer is disposed on the substrate and at least in the visible area. The trace layer is disposed on the substrate and in the non-visible area. The trace layer is electrically connected to the nano-metal conductive layer. The first passivation layer covers the trace layer. The second passivation layer covers at least a portion of the first passivation layer. The first passivation layer has a different Young's modulus than the second passivation layer.

Touch panel and method for forming the same

A touch sensor having a visible area and a peripheral area on at least one side of the visible area includes a substrate, a metal nanowire layer, and a metal layer. The metal nanowire layer is disposed on the substrate and has a first portion corresponding to the visible area and a second portion corresponding to the peripheral area. The metal layer is disposed on the substrate and corresponding to the peripheral area, in which a portion of the metal layer overlaps and contacts at least a portion of the second portion of the metal nanowire layer, such that an overlapping region is formed, a contact area of the overlapping region is between 0.09 mmand 1.20 mm, and a contact impedance of the overlapping region is less than 50&#x3a9;.

Touch sensor and manufacturing method thereof

A touch panel includes a substrate, first and second touch sensing electrodes, and first and second traces. The substrate includes a display area and a peripheral area. The first and second touch sensing electrodes are formed on the display area, and the first and second traces are formed on the peripheral area. The first touch sensing electrode is formed by a first portion of a metal nanowire layer, which is patterned. The peripheral trace includes a conductive layer and a second portion of the metal nanowire layer, both of which are patterned in a co-etch step. The conductive layer and the second portion of the metal nanowire layer have a coplanar etched surface. The second touch sensing electrode is formed on an insulating layer and connects with the second trace.
