A display device includes a display panel which includes a pixel including a driving transistor and a light-emitting element, and a sensing line connected to the pixel. A sensing driver senses a first sensing signal corresponding to mobility of the driving transistor through the sensing line, and processes the first sensing signal to output first sensing data. A driving controller receives the first sensing data from the sensing driver, generates mobility compensation data and kickback compensation data based on the first sensing data, and converts image data into compensation image data by the mobility compensation data and the kickback compensation data. A data driver converts the compensation image data into a data signal and provides the data signal to the pixel.

Display device

A display device including an optical member, a display panel disposed above the optical member, and a plurality of light emitting units disposed below the optical member and providing a first color light to the optical member. The optical member may include a glass substrate containing an upper surface and a lower surface facing each other in a thickness direction and overlapping the plurality of light emitting units in a plan view, and a quantum dot layer disposed directly on the upper surface or the lower surface and converting the first color light into a second color light and a third color light.

A display device includes a first circuit substrate and an overlapping second circuit. At least one connection pin is disposed in an opening in a base substrate which is disposed between the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate and the at least one connection pin is configured to connect the first circuit substrate to the second circuit substrate through the opening in the base substrate.

Display device capable of gray scale expansion

A display apparatus includes a visual information inputting part, a mode determining part, a driver and a display panel. The visual information inputting part receives an eyesight of a user and a viewing distance of the user. The mode determining part determines a pixel perception distance based on the eyesight of the user and compares the viewing distance and the pixel perception distance to select one of a normal mode and a control mode. The driver maintains a vertical resolution of an input image and a frame frequency when the normal mode is selected, and outputs gate signals to gate lines during a same horizontal period to decrease the vertical resolution and inserts a compensation frame between adjacent frames to increase the frame frequency when the control mode is selected. The display panel displays an image based on the vertical resolution and the frame frequency set by the driver.

Display apparatus and method of driving the same

An optical system includes a first panel that includes a plurality of first electrodes; a second panel facing the first panel and that includes a plurality of second electrodes; and an optical conversion layer positioned between the first panel and the second panel that includes an optical conversion material. An electric field generated in the optical conversion layer by the plurality of first electrodes and the plurality of second electrodes in a multi-view mode generates a phase difference in the optical conversion layer based on a location of the optical conversion material. The plurality of second electrodes includes a plurality of sub electrodes and a common electrode, and the plurality of first electrodes and the common electrode forms a touch sensing capacitor to sense a touch in a touch mode.

Touch sensible optical system and display device including the same

An optical system includes: a first panel including a plurality of first electrodes extending in a first direction; a second panel facing the first panel and including a plurality of second electrodes extending in a second direction crossing the first direction; an optical conversion layer between the first panel and the second panel; and a first insulating layer between the first electrodes and the second electrodes, the first insulating layer including an organic material, wherein, in a touch mode, one or more of the first electrodes and one or more of the second electrodes crossing each other form a touch sensing capacitor, and wherein, in a multi-view mode, the first electrodes and the second electrodes apply an electric field to the optical conversion layer, the electric field depending on a voltage difference between the first electrode and the second electrode, to generate different phase differences.

Touch sensing optical system and display device including the same

A curved display device includes a curved panel including a plurality of pixels, and an image compensation processor. The image compensation processor is configured to convert a first image signal into a second image signal by scaling the first image signal based on a curvature of the curved panel and a viewing distance between a viewer and the curved panel, map the second image signal onto corresponding pixels of the curved panel, and provide the mapped second image signal to the corresponding pixels of the curved panel.

Curved display and a driving method thereof

An image display apparatus includes a display panel that displays an image and a switching panel operated in a two-dimensional mode or three-dimensional mode such that the image is perceived as a two-dimensional mode or three-dimensional image on the display panel. The switching panel includes a plurality of unit devices. Each of the unit devices includes a first zone disposed at one side of a center axis of the unit device and a second zone disposed at the other side of the center axis. Each of the first zone and the second zone includes a plurality of electrodes, respectively. The plurality of electrodes do not overlap the center axis.

Image display apparatus

A multiview image displaying system is provided. The multiview image displaying system includes: a display panel, a shutter panel, a shutter panel, and glasses. The display panel is for displaying images for different viewpoints by time division and includes a first polarizer. The shutter panel is provided in front of the display panel and includes an active shutter panel and a phase retardation plate. The glasses are for observing the images. The glasses are selected from among polarized glasses and shutter glasses.

Multiview image display system and driving method thereof

A display device is provided. The display device includes: a display panel; and a polarization conversion panel disposed on the display panel, wherein the polarization conversion panel includes: a reflective polarizer disposed on the display panel, an absorptive polarizer facing and spaced apart from the reflective polarizer, a lower electrode disposed on the reflective polarizer, an upper electrode disposed on the absorptive polarizer, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the upper and lower electrodes; and wherein the polarization conversion panel is configured to emit light having a fixed wavelength range depending on a voltage difference generated between the upper and lower electrodes.

Mirror display device

A liquid crystal lens module includes: a first substrate that includes a plurality of lens electrodes and a plurality of bus lines; a second substrate facing the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate. The plurality of bus lines include at least two bus lines having different widths, and the plurality of lens electrodes include first electrodes and second electrodes that are electrically insulated from each other A widest bus line of the at least two bus lines is connected to a widest lens electrode of the plurality of lens electrodes.

Liquid crystal lens module

A liquid crystal display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The liquid crystal display panel includes a lens area and a peripheral area. The lens area includes a plurality of liquid crystal lenses. Each of the plurality of liquid crystal lenses includes a plurality of electrodes. The peripheral area surrounds the lens area. The peripheral area includes a first bus line layer and a second bus line layer facing each other in a first direction. The first and second bus line layers include first bus lines and second bus lines, respectively. The first and second bus lines are electrically connected to each of the plurality of electrodes through one end of each electrode.

Liquid crystal display panel and method for manufacturing the same

A display device includes a display panel and a polarization conversion panel disposed on the display panel. The polarization conversion panel has two or more display area regions that are independently drivable in order to implement either a reflection mode or transmissive mode in each of those regions and thus enabling pattern implementation. The polarization conversion panel includes: a reflective polarizer disposed on the display panel; an absorptive polarizer facing and spaced apart from the reflective polarizer; a lower electrode(s) layer disposed on the reflective polarizer; an upper electrode(s) layer disposed on the absorptive polarizer; and liquid crystals disposed between the upper and lower electrode layers. At least one of the upper and lower electrode layers includes a respective plurality of independently drivable sub-electrodes.
