An X-ray imaging apparatus and method is provided. An X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray radiation unit configured to radiate a first X-ray and a second X-ray onto a target along a predetermined path, an X-ray detection unit configured to detect the radiated first X-ray and the second X-ray that have passed through the target, and an image data generation unit configured to generate cross-section data that respectively corresponds to the detected first X-ray and the detected second X-ray and represents a predetermined cross-sectional layer of the target. The first X-ray is radiated at a location on the predetermined path that is different from a location on the predetermined path at which the second X-ray is radiated, the first X-ray including X-ray spectra that are different from X-ray spectra of the second X-ray.

X-ray imaging apparatus and method

A method of reconstructing a tomography image of an object from a plurality of projection images generated by scanning the object in a plurality of projection directions includes: determining whether a truncated portion of the object exists in the plurality of projection images; reconstructing a first reconstruction image; calculating projection data for the first reconstruction image; and reconstructing a tomography image of the object by using the calculated projection data.

Disclosed herein are an X-ray imaging apparatus and an X-ray image generating method in which constituent materials of a target object are separated and mapped to different colors in order to provide one image which has improved distinction between tissues. The X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray generator which generates X-rays and irradiates the X-rays toward a target object, an X-ray detector which acquires X-ray data which corresponds to a plurality of energy bands by detecting X-rays which have passed through the target object, and a controller which acquires a plurality of material images in which a plurality of materials constituting the target object are respectively displayed and brightness information from the X-ray data, generates one image by mapping different color channels to the plurality of material images and combining the plurality material images into a single image, and applying the brightness information to the generated image.

X-ray imaging apparatus and X-ray image generating method

A method of reconstructing tomograms from a polychromatic X-ray transmission image and an image processing apparatus using the same. An image of a target is reconstructed in consideration of a fact that an X-ray has a polychromatic X-ray spectrum and the target is dependent upon energy of the X-ray transmitted through the target, and thus an image without any beam hardening artifacts may be generated. In addition, measurement data for X-rays with respect to all wavelengths is used to reconstruct an image, thereby reconstructing an accurate image.

Method of reconstructing tomograms from polychromatic X-ray transmission image and image processing apparatus using the same

A method of providing a stereoscopic X-ray image is provided. The method includes acquiring X-ray images captured at respective rotation angles with respect to a part of a patient to be examined while rotating around the part to be examined, and in response to information regarding a viewpoint with respect to the part to be examined being input, using X-ray images at respective rotation angles corresponding to the viewpoint from among the acquired X-ray images to generate a three-dimensional (3D) X-ray image.

Method and system for providing stereoscopic X-ray image

A method, medium, and apparatus for setting an exposure time is provided. The apparatus includes a section setting module which sets one or more luminance sections based on a luminance distribution of an input image, an image division module which divides the input image into two or more regions, a region classification module which classifies the regions into the luminance sections, and an exposure-time setting module which sets an exposure time for each of the regions with reference to a target luminance value, the target luminance value being set based on the results of the classification performed by the region classification module.

Disclosed is an apparatus and method for obtaining a motion adaptive high dynamic range image, in which a motion degree of a first image and a second taken using different exposure times is calculated. A CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor is provided. A CMOS image sensor includes a first light-receiving unit converting light into charge, a first floating diffusion region, in which a first potential corresponding to the converted amount of charge is generated and a second floating diffusion region, to which the charge in the first floating diffusion region is transmitted, and in which a second potential is generated, wherein a wide dynamic range signal is acquired from the first floating diffusion region, a high-sensitively signal is acquired from the second floating diffusion region, and the acquired signals are synthesized and output.

A system and a method for acquiring a moving image are provided. An image photographing apparatus and method, and more particularly, an image photographing apparatus and method that may divide each unit sensor of an image sensor into a high-sensitivity sensor and a low-sensitivity sensor and sense an incident optical signal using the high-sensitivity sensor and the low-sensitivity sensor. The image photographing apparatus may include a light reception unit receiving an optical signal, a sensor unit sensing the optical signal, which is incident to a pixel region, using a plurality of sensors with different sensitivity and converting the sensed optical signal into a plurality of electrical signals, and a signal extraction unit extracting the quantity of accumulated electric charge for the optical signal, which was sensed by each of the sensors, with reference to each of the electrical signals.

Provided are an apparatus for and method of restoring an image, by which when the focus of an image is blurred, an image can be restored using the characteristic of a lens. The apparatus includes: an estimation unit estimating field information and focus blur of an input signal, a weight applying unit applying a plurality of weights according to the optical characteristic of a lens to the input image, and a generation unit generating an output image using the input image to which the plurality of weights are applied.
