An internal combustion engine controller comprises a current or voltage source for controlling a potential at a diagnosis position in order to ensure a high-precision fault diagnosis, even if the drive cycle of the electromagnetic load (such as a fuel injector), in the internal combustion engine is shorted. Diagnosis timing is optimally set or the number of determinations for averaging is increased in order to ensure high-precision fault diagnosis without being influenced by unexpected disturbance such as noises. In fault diagnosis of a regeneration circuit into a booster circuit, either an input/output voltage or the regeneration current of a driver of the electromagnetic load is detected.

Electromagnetic load controller

An electric power supply system for a vehicle has an electric power line wired in a loop configuration. From the electric power line power is supplied to a load, and to another system which supplies control system power supply. One shutdown circuit is provided in a module connected to the loop configured power supply line. When the electric power line and the load are short circuited, the shutdown can isolate and shut down only the failure point. Further, when the car is not in use, by stopping the power supply to the load, current consumption can be restrained. In response to detection of a ground short and a failure of a connection of a connector, an over-current prevention of an electric power line, a simple construction can be provided and a low current consumption can be realized.

Power supplying apparatus for vehicle and intensive wiring apparatus

A video recording/reproducing apparatus capable of discriminating commercial message portions even when a broadcasting mode is the same. A magnetic head records television broadcasting signals to a magnetic tape and reproduces the television broadcasting signals from this magnetic tape. When the television broadcasting signals are reduced by recording/reproducing apparatus, an audio-free portion detector detects audio-free portions from audio signals in the television broadcasting signals. Commercial message (CM) portion detector detects the commercial message portions in the television broadcasting signals by the time intervals among a plurality of audio-free portions detected by the audio-free portion detector, and a CM information memory circuit stores the information of the recording positions of the commercial message portions detected by this commercial message portion detector to the magnetic tape. When the television broadcasting signals are reproduced from the magnetic tape, reproduction is carried out while the commercial message portions are skipped, at the recording positions of the commercial message portions to the magnetic tape, on the basis of the information of the recording positions of the commercial message portions to the magnetic tape that are stored in the memory circuit.

Image recording/reproducing apparatus

A control apparatus for controlling multiple power loads in a vehicle includes a circuit for detecting a current abnormality of a power element and a circuit for monitoring a temperature abnormality in a locality of the power element. Circuits are also provided continuing or shutting down the power element based on information concerning the above stated current and/or temperature abnormalities, with a timing which is established according to a substantially constant period or a time interval which is stored in advance in a memory element.

Apparatus with an over-current shutdown means and an over-temperature shutdown means

A power-feed control apparatus for a vehicle in which electrical loads are arranged in the vehicle includes a power source provided in a vehicle; at least one power semiconductor element, the power semiconductors controlling power-feed to the electrical load; a control unit for controlling the power semiconductor element; an anomaly detection circuit for monitoring operations of the power semiconductor element and determining whether or not an anomaly is occurring in a circuit including the power semiconductor element and the electrical load; and a switching circuit for switching a threshold level between a level for an anomaly detection in a starting period of the load and that in a steady state of the load connected to the power semiconductor element; wherein if an anomaly is detected in the circuit by the anomaly detection circuit, the control unit turns off the power semiconductor so as to interrupt power-feed to the electrical load.

Power-feed control apparatus provided in a vehicle

In an electric power switch circuit with an overcurrent or overheating protection function, unnecessary ON-OFF cycling is prevented. A MOSFET is used as an electric power element for energizing a load according to a control signal. A temperature detector detects the temperature in the neighborhood of the MOSFET, and a control unit opens a switch, interrupting input of the control signal to the MOSPET when the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means is higher than the predetermined temperature. An interruption status retaining device maintains the interruption of the control signal, preventing repetitive ON-OFF cycling.

Switch circuit having protection function to interrupt input of control signal

On the occasion of stopping the tape running at a high speed, a winding radius of the tape supply reel is detected to set the tape deceleration rate (a) on the basis of the detected winding radius of the supply reel. After the tape running speed is decelerated up to the allowable speed VL in the predetermined deceleration rate (a), the tape is stopped by effectuating the brake. Thereby, the tape can be driven at the speed higher than the allowable speed VL without generating any damage, enabling reduction of time required for the fast-forward/rewind operation. Moreover, application flexibility is improved by providing a couple of tape running modes at the first high speed V1 which is higher than the allowable speed VL and the second high speed V2 which is lower than the allowable speed VL. In addition, running of the tape can be ceased within the predetermined time t from the input of the stop command signal by specifying the maximum speed Vmax depending on the preset deceleration rate (a) and limiting the tape running speed with the maximum speed Vmax.

Tape running apparatus

Apparatus or method for controlling tape speed

On the occasion of stopping the tape being run at a high speed, a winding radius of the tape supply reel is detected, and a tape deceleration rate is set in response to the detected winding radius. After the tape running speed is decelerated in the deceleration rate up to a preset speed, VL, at which the tape being run can be stopped without damage, the tape is stopped by a brake means. Thereby, the tape can be driven at a higher speed than the speed, VL, without damage, enabling a reduction of time required for a fast forward/rewind operation.

Apparatus for controlling tape speed

The specification discloses a magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus for controlling a magnetic tape and reproducing magnetic heads. In the magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus of the invention, a magnetic tape which is moved for magnetic heads attached to a rotary cylinder is traced by the magnetic heads and signals recorded on tracks of the magnetic tape are reproduced. A construction of the apparatus includes a tracking control system, a tape tension control system, and an apparatus for selectively switching operations of both of the control systems. The tracking control system includes: an apparatus, attached to the rotary cylinder, for moving the magnetic heads in the width direction of the tracks in accordance with a tracking signal; and an apparatus for sampling the signals detected by the magnetic heads, for comparing a preceding sampled value with a present sampled value, and for generating the tracking signal such that the present sampled value is larger than the preceding sampled value. The tape tension control system includes: an apparatus for detecting changes per predetermined time in levels of the signals detected by the magnetic head; an apparatus for giving a tension to the moving magnetic tape and for adjusting the tension in accordance with a tension control signal; and an apparatus for generating the tension control signal to adjust the tension according to change amounts per predetermined time of the signal levels to a reference value. Further, the switching apparatus includes switching means for receiving the signals detected by the magnetic heads and for selectively energizing either one of the tracking control system and the tape tension control system in accordance with the levels of the signals. Another magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus according to the invention comprises: two magnetic heads arranged to a cylinder so as to simultaneously trace adjacent tracks; an apparatus, attached to the cylinder, for individually moving the two magnetic heads in the width direction of the tracks in accordance with a head position control signal; and an apparatus for generating the head position control signal to move the magnetic heads in the width direction of the tracks in a manner such that when the recorded signals are reproduced at a speed different from a tape moving speed upon recording, amplitude levels of the reproduction signals detected by the two magnetic heads locating at predetermined track positions have a relation of opposite phases.

Magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus

A tracking apparatus for a magnetic recording and playback device of a helical scan system including at least one audio head and at least one video head provided on a rotating cylinder for enabling recording and playback of an audio signal and a video signal onto and from a magnetic tape which is driven by a capstan motor. The tracking apparatus includes a tracker for detecting an audio tracking error of the audio head for an audio track of the magnetic tape and for generating a tracking compensation signal corresponding to the amount of audio tracking error, and a controller responsive to the tracking compensation signal for controlling the rotary phase of the capstan motor in accordance therewith so that the audio head correctly tracks the audio track of the magnetic tape and is controlled independently of control of the video head for video tracking error.
