A recording medium drive unit includes an insertion opening through which a recording medium is inserted, a holder receiving the recording medium inserted through the insertion opening, a connector, a holder drive part moving the holder to a loading position so that the recording medium is connected to the connector, and a clamp mechanism pressing opposing sides of the recording medium when the recording medium is inserted into the holder. The clamp mechanism is provided to a side of the holder so as to be slidable thereon, and holds the recording medium by the opposing sides thereof.

An electronic component storing case capable of accommodating an electronic component includes a case member having an opening in its first end face, a shutter member which is arranged in the opening of the case member, pivotal outwardly to open/close the opening, and biased in a closing direction by a first resilient member, and a lever member which has a first end extending to an outside of the case member from at least its one side surface perpendicular to the first end face of the case member, and a second end which acts on the shutter member. The lever member converts an operating force to be applied to the first end into a biasing force for biasing the shutter member in an opening direction.

Disclosed herein is a card adapter for electrically connecting electrical connecting portions of a card-shaped electronic device such as a CF card to contacts in a slot for a PC card provided in a personal computer. The card adapter includes a chassis , a pair of conducting plates provided on the upper and lower sides of the chassis , and a grounding member , and the like. The grounding member is used to provide an electrical path for electrically connecting a grounding contact portion of the CF card to a grounding part of the slot without using the conducting plates and it is formed into a single part. By using such a grounding member , the card adapter can directly connect the grounding contact portion of the CF card to the grounding part of the slot to accomplish stable and reliable grounding.

A card adapter is provided which may connect/disconnect a card-shaped electronic device and has a chassis , a push member disposed in the chassis for pushing a CF card , an eject lever movably mounted with respect to the chassis , a link arm pivotably mounted on the chassis via a rotation axis , and the like. In the card adapter , one end of the link arm is linked with the push member via a first linking part , and the other end of the link arm is linked with the eject lever via a second linking part, whereby the movement of the eject lever is transmitted to the push member via the link arm . According to such a structure, the card adapter can reliably and easily connect and disconnect the CF card

Disclosed herein is a card adapter which can reliably isolate a slot provided in a personal computer and a card-shaped electronic device from a user. The card adapter includes a chassis , a pair of conducting plates provided on the upper and lower sides of the chassis , and the like. The chassis includes a pair of arms L, R, and the tip portions of the arms L, R are provided with a pair of insulating grip portions L, R, respectively, for insulating the pair of conducting plates from a user. According to such a structure, the card adapter can prevent the possibility that static electricity charged in the body of a user is discharged to the slot or to the card-shaped electronic device connected to the card adapter through conductive parts such as the conducting plates and the like so that electronic circuits provided in the card-shaped electronic device or in the slot are broken or damaged.

A push button switch includes an elastic sheet member serving as a stopper of an operation member and an elastic projection. When the operation member abuts with the projection, it is elastically deformed to absorb abutment impact to thereby cost effectively reduce noise when the push button switch is operated. A key switch includes a torsion bar, a key top and, an elastic sheet member having a projection. The play of a torsion bar at a bearing portion and at a coupling portion of the torsion bar with the key top is eliminated through a pushing force by the elastic sheet member having a projection, to thereby reduce noise and prevent trapping of a key stem by another component, when the key switch is operated.

A platen movable type recording apparatus includes a recording unit for performing a recording operation for a recording medium on a recording surface thereof; a platen having a supporting surface, facing the recording surface of the recording unit, for supporting the recording medium; a cutter, which covers the recording unit and projects across an extending surface of the supporting surface of the platen to cover a portion of the platen, for cutting the recording medium by a knife edge portion thereof after the recording medium passes by the recording unit; and a holder for holding the platen so as to be movable in a direction from a mounting position where the supporting surface of the platen faces the recording surface of the recording unit to a position where the supporting surface is separated from and the recording surface and along and the cutter and the platen cannot interfere with each other upon movement of the platen.

Electronic equipment having a key input function comprises a circuit structure having an electrical circuit including a plurality of key input contacts formed thereon, a frame arranged on the surface of the circuit structure, and key input buttons arranged one for each of the key input contacts. The frame has holes for each of the key input contacts, an insulative layer adjoining the electrical circuit and a metal layer which is in contact with the electrical circuit, which metal layer is exposed at the holes so that the key input buttons, which fit into the holes, selectively and electrically connect the key input contacts to the metal layer.

A plurality of keytops are held by means of a single leaf spring to prevent erroneous insertion of the keytops into opening portions formed in a frame and to prevent the keytops from being removed from the opening portions. For prevention of unstable movement of the keytops, the leaf spring holding a plurality of keytops is contacts projections formed on the frame to be deformed thereby applying the initial pressure. Further, in order to reduce the number of assembly processes in attaching the leaf spring holding a plurality of keytops to the frame and the number of parts which are attached, each end of the spring portions connected to the plurality of keytops is coupled at a single portion and fixed to the frame.
