A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes a processor. The processor acquires a plurality of pieces of k-space data with undersampling in at least one of axes of k-space and in a certain axis different from the axes of k-space. The processor rearranges the pieces of k-space data into a second order different from a first order in which the pieces of k-space data are acquired. The processor performs a reconstruction process on a rearranged k-space data group to generate an image group.

A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes sequence controlling circuitry and processing circuitry. The sequence controlling circuitry is configured to acquire k-space data by executing a pulse sequence while performing undersampling. The processing circuitry is configured to generate an output target image by generating a folded image by applying a Fourier transform to the k-space data and further unfolding the folded image by performing a process that uses a regularization term. The processing circuitry applies a weight to the regularization term on the basis of whether or not each of the pixels in the output target image is included in an observation target region.

According to one embodiment, a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes sequence control circuitry. The sequence control circuitry acquires magnetic resonance signals corresponding to each of N spokes (N is a natural number of two or more) which is less than the total number of spokes, and thereafter acquires magnetic resonance signals corresponding to each of the N spokes after the N spokes are rotated while maintaining angles between adjacent spokes.

According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a generation unit. The generation unit generates a texture image by searching for a similar pixel area to a processed pixel area near a processing target pixel in the texture image from a neighboring area at a position corresponding to the processing target pixel in a sample texture image and assigning the processing target pixel a pixel value near the similar pixel area in accordance with a positional relationship between the processed pixel area and the processing target pixel. The generation unit searches for the similar pixel area based on a similarity between a pixel value in a pixel area in the neighboring area and a pixel value in the processed pixel area and a determination result indicating whether each pixel in the neighboring area expresses a same object as that expressed by the processing target pixel.
