A cartridge to be installed in a detection device for detecting light generated from a measurement sample containing a test substance is provided. The cartridge includes: a plurality of detection chambers fluidly isolated from each other and each receiving a measurement sample; and a transmission suppression unit provided between one detection chamber and another detection chamber of the plurality of detection chambers, and configured to suppress transmission of light generated from a measurement sample in the one detection chamber to the another detection chamber.

Cartridge and detection method

A method according to one or more aspects may be a method of measuring a detection material contained in a sample by using a cartridge including: chambers each capable of housing at least one of the detection material and a reagent; and a path through which the detection material is transferred between the chambers. The method may include: moving at least one of the chambers and the path to a measurement position and an image capturing range by rotating the cartridge about a rotational shaft; measuring the detection material in the measurement position; and capturing an image of a monitoring target comprising at least one of the chambers and the path in the image capturing range.

Measurement method and measurement device

A detection method for detecting a detection target substance is provided. The method includes a first application step of applying a magnetic field a liquid suspension to link a plurality of magnetic particles in a row from an interior surface of a liquid receiving member that receives the liquid suspension of magnetic particles to which a detection target substance is bound, a second application step of bringing the linked magnetic particles near the interior surface while the magnetic field is applied to the liquid suspension, and a detection step of detecting the detection target substance bound to the magnetic particles brought near the interior surface by the second application step, wherein the direction of the magnetic field applied to the liquid suspension is altered so the linked magnetic particles approach the interior surface in the second application step.

Detection method and detection device

A urine specimen analysis device includes a specimen drawing portion, a sample preparing portion, a measurement portion, and an information processing portion. The specimen drawing portion draws a first aliquot and a second aliquot from a urine specimen. The sample preparing portion prepares a first measurement sample by mixing the first aliquot and a first staining dye that stains red blood cells, and a second measurement sample by mixing the second aliquot and a second staining dye that stains nucleic acids. The measurement portion measures fluorescence emitted from the first measurement sample prepared by the sample preparing portion, and fluorescence emitted from the second measurement sample prepared by the sample preparing portion. The information processing portion detects at least red blood cells contained in the first measurement sample based on the fluorescence of the first measurement sample measured by the measurement portion, and at least white blood cells contained in the second measurement sample based on the fluorescence of the second measurement sample measured by the measurement portion.

A sample preparation apparatus comprising: a detector for detecting a predetermined cell included in a biological sample; a sample preparation section for preparing a measurement sample from the biological sample and a predetermined reagent; and a controller configured to generate, based on a detection result by the detector, concentration information reflecting a concentration of the predetermined cell in the biological sample and to control, based on the concentration information, the amount of the biological sample supplied to the sample preparation section.
