A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a scanner unit, a scanner drive section that drives the scanner unit, a head unit that is provided with an ejection section, a drive signal generation section that generates a drive signal driving the ejection section, a casing in which the head unit is disposed, a temperature information output section that outputs temperature information indicating a value corresponding to a temperature in the casing, and a stop control section that decides a time length of the stop period in which generation of the drive signal is stopped based on the temperature information, in which the time length is longer when the scanner unit is driven than when the scanner unit is not driven.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a data processing portion that creates image data that corresponds to printing of a predetermined unit, a transport portion that transports a printing medium, and a printing portion that executes the printing of the predetermined unit on the printing medium on the basis of the image data, in which the data processing portion determines whether or not the creation of image data precedes the printing, causes the printing portion to execute a first printing process for printing of a lower end portion of an image of a printing target in a case in which the creation of image data is precedent, and causes the printing portion to execute a second printing process for printing of the lower end portion in a case in which the creation of image data is not precedent.

Printing apparatus and printing method

A printer includes a liquid ejection section and a drive control section. The liquid ejection section is configured to eject a plurality of types of liquids and form dots having different sizes. The drive control section is configured to control a dot size of the liquids to be ejected by the liquid ejection section based on image data. When an image including a three-dimensional image in which a plurality of linear images are arrayed is printed on a medium, the liquid ejection section is configured to eject the liquids, at least in an end section area in an array direction of the linear images in a print area of the image, under a setting in which an ejection ratio of relatively small dots is set lower than in an inner area that is positioned more inward than the end section area.

Printer and program

In response to a print instruction of a specified print object image, the print control apparatus of the invention corrects print object image data representing the specified print object image with a preset correction parameter set for improving picture quality of the specified print object image and prints the specified print object image according to corrected print object image data. A print object image specification module of the print control apparatus specifies the print object image as a printing object. A preprocessing execution module of the print control apparatus performs predetermined preprocessing of the print object image data representing the specified print object image to set the correction parameter used for correcting the specified print object image. In response to specification of the print object image by the print object image specification module, a preprocessing management module of the print control apparatus instructs the preprocessing execution module to implement advanced preprocessing of the print object image data representing the specified print object image, prior to the print instruction. This arrangement of the invention desirably shortens a time period elapsed before start of required image processing for printing the specified print object image.

Print control apparatus for performing preprocessing of image data

In a print control apparatus of the invention, it is assumed that preprocessing with regard to a print object image specified as an object of image processing is currently being performed by an advanced processing execution module, at an input timing of an image processing instruction in response to a print instruction. On condition that a processing amount of the preprocessing currently performed by the advanced processing execution module has reached a predetermined level, an image processor waits for completion of the preprocessing performed by the advanced processing execution module and implements a correction process by utilizing a result of the preprocessing performed by the advanced processing execution module. On condition that the processing amount of the preprocessing currently performed by the advanced processing execution module has not yet reached the predetermined level, on the other hand, the image processor stops the preprocessing currently performed by the advanced processing execution module, performs the preprocessing with regard to the print object image as the object of image processing at a higher speed than a processing speed by the advanced processing execution module, and utilizes a result of the preprocessing to implement the correction process. This arrangement of the invention effectively shortens the time period elapsed before start of image processing required for printing the print object image.
