Provided are a propylene-based polymer useful for providing a toner that is excellent in offset resistance, can be fixed by using a low-temperature heating element and hardly has stickiness even after stored for a long period of time; and a toner including said propylene-based polymer. The present invention is directed to a propylene/&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (A) which includes 60 to 90 mol % of structural units derived from propylene (a) and 10 to 40 mol % of structural units derived from &#x3b1;-olefins having 4 or more carbon atom (b) wherein (a)+(b)=100 mol % and which satisfies: (i) a weight average molecular weight (Mw) as measured by GPC of 3,000 to 40,000; (ii) a melting point (Tm) as measured by DSC of 60 to 90&#xb0; C.; and (iii) a half width of a crystalline melting point peak as measured by DSC of 1 to 20&#xb0; C.

Propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and uses thereof

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a thermoplastic resin composition for a reflective material which has excellent mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance, excellent high reflectance, and excellent moldability, and which makes it possible to obtain a reflective plate with little decline in reflectance caused by heating. A first embodiment of this thermoplastic resin composition for a reflective material includes: a polyester resin (A) that has a melting point or glass transition temperature of 250&#xb0; C. or higher and includes an alicyclic hydrocarbon structure; a thermoplastic resin (B) that has a polyolefin backbone and a functional group; a white pigment (C); and an inorganic filler (D); the thermoplastic resin (B) either including 0.1 to 1.8 wt % of a functional group unit (B1) that further includes a heteroatom, or further including an aromatic hydrocarbon structure (B2), and the limiting viscosity [&#x3b7;] being 0.04 to 1.0 dl/g.

First pellets according to the present invention is characterized by satisfying all of the following requirements (Z), (1), (2), and (3): (Z) the pellet comprises a polymer (A) having an elastic modulus in tension of 100 MPa or less, (1) the pellets have an average weight per 30 pellets in the range of 0.80 to 2.00 g; (2) the pellets have a particle size distribution obtained by sieving in which pellets providing a maximum weight fraction account for 90 to 100% of the pellets; and (3) the pellets have a L/Dvalue in the range of 1.00 to 1.70. Second pellets according to the present invention is characterized by satisfying the requirements of the (Z) and the following (4): (4) the pellets have a blocking force of 35 N or less that is measured after the pellets are left under a load at 35&#xb0; C. for 24 hours and further at &#x2212;10&#xb0; C. for 7 days.

Pellets comprising polymer and package containing the same

An object of the present invention is to provide resin compositions which have excellent tensile strength, impact resistance and appearance without deterioration in properties inherent to general-purpose engineering plastics and propylene resins and to provide uses thereof. The resin compositions of the present invention contain 20 to 80 wt % of a general-purpose engineering plastic (A), 10 to 50 wt % of a polypropylene resin (B) and 1 to 30 wt % of a modified propylene resin (C), and the modified propylene resin (C) is obtained by modifying a resin composition (C-3) which includes 0 to 40 wt % of a polypropylene (C-1) having a melting point of not less than 120&#xb0; C., and 60 to 100 wt % of a propylene/C2 or C4-10 &#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (C-2) having a melting point (Tm) of less than 120&#xb0; C. or not showing a melting point peak in DSC.
