Systems and methods relating to controlling a driving system operatively coupled to a vehicle are disclosed. A location is identified using one or more sensors included with the vehicle. An input of the driving system is identified using the location. A desired output of the driving system is determined using the input.

System and method for controlling a driving system

Disclosed herein are battery systems for electric vehicles. An electric vehicle may include a first battery. The first battery may be configured to power various low voltage systems. For example, the first battery may provide the power to start the vehicle. The vehicle may include a second battery. The second battery may be configured to power one or more electric motors for propelling the vehicle. The first battery may include a housing. The housing may include a battery monitoring system. The battery monitoring system may include a PCB that is secured to at least one bus bar. The bus bar may include an integrated shunt. The shunt may be coupled to circuitry on the PCB that is configured to monitor current.

A battery for an electric vehicle is disclosed. The battery may be a low voltage battery for powering low voltage systems. The battery may include a housing formed from at least two parts. For example, the housing may include a top portion that is sealed to a bottom portion. A plurality of rechargeable electrochemical cells may be disposed within the bottom portion. A printed circuit board and/or a bus bar may be disposed within the top portion. The housing can includes a desiccant and/or a two-way pressure valve extending through a surface of the housing. The valve may be used to prevent moisture ingress into an interior of the housing and/or may allow a pressure inside of the housing to equilibrate to the external air pressure.

Electric vehicle battery

Disclosed herein are battery systems for electric vehicles. An electric vehicle may include a first battery. The first battery may be configured to power various low voltage systems. For example, the first battery may provide the power to start the vehicle. The vehicle may include a second battery. The second battery may be configured to power one or more electric motors for propelling the vehicle. The first battery may supply power necessary to engage and/or access the power stored in the second battery. The first battery may include a heater to ensure that the first battery can supply ample power to initiate a start sequence in low temperatures.

Vehicle battery heating system

Systems and methods for electrical connections between electrical components or flow paths are described. Systems can include a pin having a proximal end and a distal end, a proximal groove disposed between and spaced vertically from the proximal end and the distal end, and a distal groove disposed between and spaced vertically from the proximal groove and the distal end. A proximal garter spring can be disposed around the pin at least partially within the proximal groove, and a distal garter spring can be disposed around the pin at least partially within the distal groove. The proximal garter spring and distal garter spring can be configured to compress in order to mechanically and electrically couple a first electrical flow path and a second electrical flow path.
