A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication includes one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon, at least one processor coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media, and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to: detect, by a multiple-universal subscriber identity module (multi-USIM) application of the UE at a Mobile Terminal (MT) level, a presence of a first USIM belonging to a first core network and a second USIM belonging to a second core network, and send an Internet Protocol (IP)-based multi-USIM registration message to an IP-based multi-USIM server or Application Function (AF), where the IP-based multi-USIM registration message comprises at least one of an indication of the presence of the first and second USIMs, information pertaining to identification, connectivity and preference information of the UE, and capabilities associated with the first and the second USIMs.

The measurement report includes measurements of a target base station associated with a first universal subscriber identity module (USIM) of the UE. Method and apparatus for reporting multi-USIM UE capability in 5G NR system

A method and system for interworking between cellular networks and wireless local area networks (WLANs) are disclosed. At least one cellular network, at least one WLAN, and an IP network may be deployed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may establish a connection to a WLAN and a tunnel between an access point (AP) and a packet data gateway (PDG) may be established. The PDG may establish a tunnel to an IP network. The WTRU may invoke a service which is delivered through the WLAN. As signal quality from the AP degrades below a predetermined threshold, a handover from the WLAN to the cellular network may be performed. A new connection to the cellular network may be established either before or after breaking the current connection to the WLAN or the two connections may be maintained simultaneously.

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities may implement service-based discovery in a network, such as a 3GPP or 3GPP2 network. A Discovery Server may be used to query and find services offered by the network or by entities that interface with the network. Situational context information or policy information, or both, may be communicated to the discovery server so that the Discovery Server can provide context-aware and policy-based discovery services. The Discovery Server may be used to control which of the entities that interface with the network can discover one another. The Discovery Server may support queries based on, for example, the type of MTC entity, the type of services hosted on the entity, the availability times of the entity, types of protocols supported, levels of Quality of Service (QoS) supported, and MTC-IWF services.

Receiving circuitry is configured to receive a radio resource control (RRC) message including information used for configuring more than one periodicities, each of the more than one periodicities corresponding to each of more than one uplink bandwidth parts (UL BWPs). The receiving circuitry is also configured to receive on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), a downlink control information format used for scheduling of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), the downlink control information format being used for activating one UL BWP among the more than one UL BWPs. Transmitting circuitry is configured to perform, based on a periodicity among the more than one periodicities, an uplink transmission on the PUSCH in the activated one UL BWP. The periodicity among the more than one periodicities is determined based on the activated one UL BWP in which the uplink transmission is performed on the PUSCH.

A method performed by a UE may comprise transmitting capability information to an IMS. The capability information may indicate that the UE supports data transfer via IMS. The UE may transmit data and an XML message, based on capability. The XML message may describe the data transmitted. In some embodiments, the data may be binary data, for example, binary animation data. Other binary types may be supported.

The transmitting circuitry is configured to transmit the indication to the wireless terminal. Systems and methods for an enhanced scheduling request for 5G NR

A user equipment (UE) is described. The UE includes a receiving circuitry configured to receive a radio resource control message including first information used for determining a monitoring occasion where the UE monitors a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a search space. The receiving circuitry is also configured to receive a radio resource control message including second information used for determining downlink control information (DCI) formats which accordingly the UE monitors the PDCCH in the search space. The search space is a UE-specific search space. The monitoring occasion comprises a slot and/or a symbol. The DCI formats include a DCI format used for scheduling of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and/or a DCI format used for scheduling of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH).

Systems and methods for supporting multiple allocations in UL/DL grant for a 5G NR UE and gNB

A 5G NR user equipment (UE) and 5G NR based station (gNB) for transmitting and receiving NR User Plane data traffic and NR Control Plane data are described. In the Up-link (UL), the MAC CE is transmitted at the end of the frame while for the Down-link (DL) the MAC CE is transmitted at beginning of the frame.

Method and apparatus for providing a solution to the handoff problem includes negotiation of new media codes (coders/decoders) for utilization in cases where the two devices involved in the handoff are incompatible. Although mobile IP (MIP) is presently utilized to perform handoff procedures, this technique lacks a trigger mechanism to initiate handoff between two different devices which communicate with two different networks or one common network. In addition, MIP does not address the issue of compatibilities between media types, codes and supported bit rate. The handoff utilizes a session protocol (SIP) message for handoff.
