The control device comprises an elongated mechanical transmission member () interposed between the gearbox and a control member () for transmitting to the gearbox the commands imparted through the control member, in such a manner that the gear engaged by means of the gearbox is linked to the linear position of the transmission member (). The device is provided with a position sensor () comprising a movable reference element (), the movement of which is univocally determined by the movement of a rigid end portion () of the transmission member (), and a stationary detection element () for detecting the position of the reference element (). The reference element () is mechanically connected to the rigid end portion () and spaced apart from it. Preferably, the position sensor is a linear position sensor () arranged to detect the linear position of the reference element (), which is drivingly connected for translation with the rigid end portion () of the transmission member ().

The device comprises: an actuator unit arranged to apply a tension force on a pair of operating cables provided with a sheath; and a force sensing unit for providing a signal indicative of the force applied the sheath by either of the two operating cables (). The force sensing unit comprises: a pack of Belleville springs coupled to an end portion of the sheath and arranged to deform as a result of the tension force applied by the actuator unit on the operating cable; and a Hall position sensor for detecting the displacement of the end portion of the sheath as a result of the deformation of the pack of springs.

An interface circuit is described for use between a direct-current voltage source and a circuit for the pulsed driving of a load such as an electric motor, in parallel with which at least one high-capacitance capacitor is connected, the interface circuit comprising The interface circuit comprises a first supply terminal and a second supply terminal which are intended operatively to be connected to the voltage source, permanently and temporarily, respectively. The system is operable to control a robotized gearbox which includes control levers which can be displaced along at least one working line along which a plurality of nominal operating positions are defined which correspond to the speed ratios or gears and to a neutral position. The control system includes electro-mechanical actuators coupled to the control levers and operable to displace them along the said at least one working line, and an electronic control unit operable to control these actuators to operate in a predetermined manner, so as to position the control levers selectively in one of the operating positions. The control levers have associated sensors operable to supply the control unit with signals which together indicate that the levers have reached predetermined positions along the said at least one operating line. The control unit is operable to carry out a process of learning and memorizing the actual engagement positions of the speed ratios or gears, which makes it possible to eliminate any operations for calibrating or adjusting the positions of the gears at the end of the assembly line.

A piloting circuit comprises a circuit branch which is intended to be connected to a DC voltage supply source in such a way as to receive a voltage of predetermined polarity, and in which the drain-source path of a (first) MOSFET transistor intended to receive an on-off piloting signal on its gate is connected in series with the load, a current recirculation diode connected in parallel to the load, and protection devices operable to prevent damage to the MOSFET transistor and/or the diode in the event of polarity reversal of the supply voltage. The protection function is achieved of an electronic switch disposed in series with the recirculation diode and piloted in such a way as to prevent the passage of current in this diode if a supply voltage of reversed polarity with respect to the predetermined polarity is applied to the said circuit branch.

The process makes it possible to detect the speed of rotation of a DC electric motor comprised of at least one winding connectable to a DC voltage supply source via an electronic switch with which there is associated a control circuit operable to provide a pulse width modulated square-wave control signal. The process comprises the operation of interrupting the application of the said control system to the electronic switch for a time period of pre-determined duration, acquiring during this time period a signal correlated to the voltage on the said winding and detecting at least one pre-determined characteristic of this signal in dependence on the speed of rotation of the motor.
